I agree with you... except the bit about losing all that food.

Just because your fridge stops, it does not mean you have to stop eating.

Have you read any of the MSE guides?

    Maybe start with Consumer Rights.

    Hi :)

Although it's too late for this event, there are ways to reduce the loss of food when a freezer disaster strikes. I guess everybody should be made aware that instant help is available on Old Style... threads like these...

Freezer been switched off / door left open - will food be ok?

Can u help ? defrosted freezer...

I would speak to the organ grinder ,not the monkey. Write a letter to the manufacturers. Make it nice and non confrontational. You never know what benefit it may bring. In future deal with a respectable retailer such as John Lewis. Your loss of food should be covered by your house insurance and i doubt you can hold comet or the manufs responsible.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Its just too bad...but you are dealing with an out of warranty failure and your chances of recovering that loss are slim to none IMO.
