  • I am another person scammed by your own store. Bought the website, no promised return (or should I say no return at all) and no refund. Stay away from them!

    Did no bells start ringing?
  • YOS is a scam, and now it looks like they also own YBIS.co.uk. If you are thinking of buying a site make sure you know what you are getting into because IT IS NOT as easy as YOS says it is!! If it sounds to good to be true, it always is!!!!

I take it this is !!!!!!!!, then?

paddyrg, most people only get maybe between 10 and 100 clicks per day if they are lucky and YOS knows this!! Thats how they get out of refunding you!
  • YourOwnStore.co.uk and YourTravelStore.co.uk are SCAM!

    Hi
I just wanted to add to this forum that my husband and i also purchased a website from YOS last year and we were also mislead by the quotes in terms of projected income. Needless to say we haven't made a penny! They quote that without paying for SEO services you can achieve 250 clicks a day by spending 10-15 hours a day but this is not the case. The information is very misleading. I cannot find the owners forum on FB could you please send me the link as we would like to join any group action. We will not be eligible for a refund because we didn't achieve 200 clicks that is what the money back offer says as I have reviewed it today but I'm sure that it was 250 clicks previously.

Finally, I don't appear to have received a contract from YOS - did anyone else receive one or was it just the standard terms and conditions?

    Many thanks

  • I have also been scammed by Your Own Store. I can't get a refund because of their get out clause of 250 visitors.:(

It's not a scam, but the business is flawed, either a) you don't know this business at all, you've only just found heard the words affiliate marketing out loud, therefore you know nothing of how it works, you've never tried your hand at seo, marketing so spending 4 or 5k on any site is ludicrous, I'm sorry you spent that much!
    b) the only other option is you've got some experience maybe you run a few blogs spent a couple of years trying and testing different strategies and AM methods, well in that case you'd probably have the resources to start a site like this yourself for under £100.

What they're doing is very clever, their fishing for people mid float, exploiting people's lack of knowledge in this area, I'm not sure if it's illeagal but morally it's wrong and they won't be going to heaven any time soon.

That 250 visitors clause is quite interesting as well, to my knowledge a site of this criteria would never maintain rankings and would be almost straight away penalized by google(at least) for lack of content, you might want to hire someone to investigate the source of traffic, i'm not saying it is but that could well be bot traffic.

OP, omg 7k on SEO and you made £50, I hope you're exaggerating otherwise that is absolutely insane, I feel for you.

There isn't enough room for this market, if you start a site, you need to plan it out, ask yourself how will you get traffic? how will you earn revenue? how much could you make? what value can you bring your visitors? What's your USP?

A good idea is to read Google webmaster guidelines at least that will tell you what they don't want in their search engine!

Anyway good luck with your cases.

    Edit**

Those 10,000+ facebook likes look very much like fake likes as well.

These sorts of advertisements often refer to total revenue, rather than profit. And £27k in revenue is beyond small, even for a small business. Your local cabby probably turns over a figure a little shy than this.

Although even if it does refer to profit, still not particularly high for a commercial enterprise. Not much left if you factor in the owners wage.
