Just reporting a Costco shop: £77.72
I still need to do a fruit and veg shop before the end of the month but that's usually £10-15 so I'll be coming in under budget!
I have a relative staying for two weeks in October and two weekends with two or three extra mouths to feed. I'm going to have to be really cleaver with meal planning next month.
See you all on the October thread!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

A top up shop for milk, pantry goods, a refill for my squirty cleaner and special offer mouthwash this week. Got some potato farls as well - haven't had those in ages! That all brings me to just about a tenner under my budget for the month. If I can do the same next month I'll be chuffed.
I also picked up my big meat order today (that I've been saving for seperately) from a local organic farm. Steaks, three big roasts, stewing beef, mince, pork gigot chops and two of the biggest chickens I've ever seen - they're like small turkeys! Hubby will be delighted as he hasn't even had a whiff of a steak in months
Hope everyone is keeping well. Uni is killing all my forum time so it's hard to stay in the loop.0 -

Well thats it for september and what a good result.
Have spent £171.48 out of a budget of £260 :T but did use a lot out of one freezer so as could defrost properly.
Fingers crossed for October, off to catch up now.
Good luck to the few who are still in Sept hope you spend less than you have budgeted for.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
OH bought some stuff yesterday but don't know how much he spent - September has been bad for tracking once we returned from holidays! Roll on October lol.
Had a productive day today - I defrosted the freezer! It wasn't empty but couldn't stand it (hard to get drawers open as hadn't been defrosted for well over a year!) so just piled all the frozen stuff together to keep cool and used a hairdryer, boiling water and a chisel to get it done as fast as possible. Seemed to work OK and was also a good chance to inventory the stuff:
Bag of SP peas
Bag of SP sweetcorn these are the only frozen veg I like
Four frozen bananas Usually make milkshake with these
Single portion of HM fruit smoothie chucked as don't like it and has been in there for two years - must learn not to freeze stuff I don't like!
Tub of frozen grapes Also chucked as been in there for ages
Bag with HM breadcrumbs
Bag with HM crumble topping
SP vanilla ice cream
10 balls of HM choc chip cookie dough
2 HM scones took out for snacks today
HM vegetable tagine - a single portion and a double portion
HM bolognaise sauce - double portion
HM split pea soup - single portion
YS individual beef mince pie
Three individual portions of HM coconut rice took one out for lunch and cooked in microwave
Bread - three food bags with two HM slices each, a couple of HM rolls, three bought rolls I always have loads of HM bread in freezer and am baking another loaf today
YS ready rolled puff pastry
2 value wraps
Two chicken carcasses Waiting to be made into stock/soup
Ten chicken wings collected from various chickens We now have enough to make a meal with, yay
Two chicken thighs and two drumsticks Took out for dinner tonight
350g beef mince
And there was me thinking that it wasn't looking very full at all :rotfl:
EDIT Oh and there was a bag of ice that melted so will need to fill up our ice trays or OH will complainPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
