Tuna pasta bake for dinner tonight as mondays & tuesday require quick dinners!

Just wondering, does anyone else run with calendar months or am I gonna be all on my lonesome by the end of this week?

Also do calendar months, so here till 30th September.

I will also be here until the end of September.

Many thanks for the kind words about my 'Mums'. My MIL is now home after having had a knee replacement; my Mum is still in hospital and hopefully will be out sometime in October.

I have been trying to keep up-to-date with the posts since last week but the cold damp weather has triggered a fibro flare which always slows my brain cells up :o

I haven't spent any further money and I shouldn't need to spend any more until October, fingers crossed!

Off to menu plan, trying to work out cost per meal both in ingredients and method of cooking. Please wish me luck as my menu planning skills are not too good. So off to read the recipe list for inspiration.

    Take care.

  • I'm also here until the end of September. I find it much easier to keep straight in my head working with actual calendar months, rather than, say, the 19th to the 19th!
Because it's fun to have money!

Think I am going to try and join this challenge next week and think it will be easier going 1st of the month to the end of the month. As I am on my own I am not sure what to go with and wonder if £50 is enough for me which will include washing liquid, toiletries etc.

Hmm - knew I shouldn't have felt so confident last week - had a very spendy weekend. Anyway - THINK I should be OK til Sunday (last day for me).
Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

    November GC £255/£300
  • Im here until 30th too.

Weekly shop in Asda on Saturday with spends of £37.72, but that did include ingredients for Waffle berry pie to take to my mums for sunday dinner.

Also went out for a meal Saturday but only for pub grub so small spend of £12.98.

I have been trying a few drink free weeks. I don't usually drink in the week but last weekend I didnt drink and also didn't drink fri or sunday this week and only had 3 small vodkas on Saturday (and when i say small i mean super small not even single pub measures) I am mainly doing this as a little challenge for weight loss reasons but also seems to have saved me quite alot of money! And I lost 3.5lbs last week so bonus!!

Got excited thinking that month had finished but forgot I have another shop this month!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Spends today in MrT - total of £64 but £14 was second purse as our dog's food was on offer, also bought a tub of chocs to put away for Christmas, so £5 from that budget.

I am also here until the bitter end of September :D

Plaice, mini roasties and broccoli for tea tonight as it's cubs at 6.30pm.

I'm also on my own and do £50 a month, but DON'T include non-food items.

Reckon my tuna pasta bake tonight cost about £2.50 for the whole thing! Will do 2 adults, 2 kids and maybe leftovers..... I think that is quite good.
