Cops ask for quotes as the "perp" is nicked bang to rights, make him pay, etc
Cops send the guy the HIGHEST quote (twice the lowest) and now say its too high, tough, they will just charge him with criminal damage
the car is in reality a write-off, NCB would be lost worth £1500, so will victim support pay up or is a CCJ the only way left?
How much is the actual damage really going to cost to repair? Is the £2000 mentioned above the higher figure mentioned or the actual cost you can get it repaired for? If it's the higher price it maybe worthwhile repairing yourself at the lower cost than your calculated increases in insurance then persuing the offender through the courts for the costs back.0 -

Mines was only £600. Even had one accident and surprisingly my premiums stayed the same as the investigator interviewed me/visited the scene/got police reports etc and came to the conclusion I had done everything possible to avoid the accident and nothing in my actions had caused the accident - which surprised me as I was under the impression insurance companies just love having an excuse to raise your premium. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Will Victim Support pay?
Got to be the funniest thing I ever read on here. Not support as in a financial recovery after a crime.
Wonder what someone raped would get or someone murdered compared to your 3k. !!!! all when you look at the CICB0
