Having worked in SOGA complaints for Comet....
The people saying that you won't find one with 2 SCARTs are right, SCART is outdated and becoming rare. The new TV will likely offer better picture quality etc, and overall would be judged a better spec.
The problem comes from the stores mis selling the warrantys, and it did work how you have described once upon a time - you'd get the original purchase price to spend on a new TV meaning a massive upgrade after 5 years. I've heard of stores even suggesting this to customers - TV for life etc.
To be honest though you won't win this even in court, they will go through all the better specs of the new TV - it might be LED backlit, have better contrast ratios, more HDMI ports etc, and the fact that it only has 1 SCART will be meaningless.0 -

Before that he was asked for the model of his old tv.
