Ignore bengel-stripe as they have just filled you with nonsense.
You are correct a CPD marker can be placed on individual lending facilities or on all lending facilities and in your case the CPD is marked down on loans & credit cards.0 -

Was just wondering if the OP had an update on this?

Just like to put my two pence worth in all this and tell you a story (Sorry it’s a bit long and boring !).
In 2009 I opened a classic account with Lloyds, at the time my credit history was far from perfect, I had 3 defaults !, but surprisingly they gave me the account, although I was declined a cheque book initially I was given one after a month. A few months later I upgraded it to the Premier account and this was accepted (I did use all the benefits and it did work out cheaper for me). So I thought I was on my way to starting a good relationship with them, after all I now had a cheque book and a Black Premier card with a £250 cheque guarantee card !.
Then I lost my father, I did get a rather healthy inheritance and opened two Term Deposits with them, and when these matured I then put the money in the special incentive saver account for a year (Remember those). But throughout all this I had CPD on my account and could not get a credit card, overdraft or anything (Not that I wanted or needed much). I knew I had CPD as I was told in branch when they were opening the Term Deposits.
Then one by one the defaults all dropped off, and as part of the account benefits I got access to call credit reports and seen it improve bit by bit, I also had access to Equifax through Capital One and seen the defaults go and all to be replaced by Green boxes !. The last default dropped off and I then checked all the credit references online and got the £2 report from Experian and all prefect.
I knew that Lloyds updated on or around the 20th of the month, so I waited until the first month after the last default expecting to be offered something on online banking, but no !. So I thought maybe it’s the next again month and their systems need to catch up, but still no !. So I thought I would apply for a 2nd current account (I could use for more vantage) and got the message ‘ We are unable to offer you a 2nd account !, So a bit mad at this I phoned up Phone bank and was told it was not possible to offer me a 2nd account to due ‘Adverse Data’ and was advised to get a copy of my credit report, I told the advisor that I had already done that and there was no adverse data, but she was adamant that what it was. So I sent off a letter of complaint, and got the standard letter of ‘Very sorry you need to complain, have examined your complaint and can confirm due to adverse data we are unable to offer you any borrowing facilities, realise this is disappointing to you etc, etc.
The day I got this letter I had a cheque to pay in so down I goes to the branch to find out what is going on, I asked to see the manager (Who I had met before and was really nice, old and experienced !), I was taken into a private room and he tapped away at his keyboard and confirmed I had CPD, I am sure he said CPD 99 but maybe not. I explained everything to him and he said he has seen it so many times before and made a phone call, I am sure he said he was going to call ‘Higher lending’ but I could be wrong on the name. He explained everything and I was asked permission to have my credit reports looked at which I agreed to if it was going to help, and again after a lengthy phone conversation (Most of the terminology was all strange to me) he hit me with a bombshell !.
He told me that CPD was applied to my customer record when my account was opened as I had defaults (All true), and even though I no longer had these defaults in the eyes of Lloyds I had defaulted before so I was a bad risk, even though I was good now I could be bad in the future (So to speak). In other words I was blacklisted and CPD would never be removed !, when I was told I had adverse data they were right, but they meant I ‘had’ adverse data as they had kept a record of it !, even though I did not have it now !.
I made some feeble attempt at ‘data is only kept for six years’and was told that was true at Credit Reference agencies but the bank can retain your data for as long as it sees fit, so 10, 25 or more years !.
I did feel I had really tried with Lloyds, I had in a sense given them everything and really tried hard to clean up my previous bad mistakes, and I guess stupidly felt a bit sorry for myself.
Needless to say I now bank elsewhere, but the one thing that it did open my eyes for was that loyalty means nothing !.
Sorry for rambling but if anyone else has CPD don’t expect it to fall off anytime soon, or indeed ever !.0 -
just to add my two cents to this thread.
I recently received my data protection subject access request printouts from LTSB. I've been banking with them since 1998.
I have CPD against credit cards. I don't have one with them anymore. Paid off earlier this year just after they decided to start reducing my credit limit!
My risk bank/score is 1 on their system so they obviously do judge everything seperately.
Seems sensible enough, I couldn't really disagree with their assessment.0
