Are you a Premium Loyal? Do you know your BOGOFs from your Plan-o-Grams? Is Eye Level really Buy Level.....And just what is a Store Rumble? We spend nearly £140 billion on groceries in the UK every year - and the large supermarkets are experts at persuading us to buy more than we need. But how is it done? "Shop Smart" has the answers.
Sally Magnusson lifts the lid on the in-store psychological tricks of the supermarket trade. Its glossy, fast paced and funny dissection of the inner workings and secrets of a modern supermarket is essential viewing for anyone who has ever gone shopping for a pint of milk - and ended up with a trolley load of other stuff.

It's really scary how all Tesco stores look the same on the inside. The front view of the elevators looks *identical* to my local store, and I was convinced that it was! Just shows how Tesco have got everything down to a fine art.... whether it's good fine art or not is open to interpretation!0

Hm well the 3 local tescos near me don't have elevators so i'm a bit unsure about that one0

I feel good about myself, cos i went into Tesco today and bought cravendale milk and warburtons bread and came out. I am buying all fruit, veg ,and meat from local shops. Do not think I can give up on Aldi though, I get cooked meat, yoghurts, biscuits, and virgin olive oil from there, at competetive prices.:hello:What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Does anyone know if this will be repeated? I would like to tape it to show to some students.0
