    I'm assuming that address is yours and they were standing outside? (You may want to delete it btw just for the sake of your privacy!) Do you know who the elderly gentlemen may be? Is he your neighbour, would he know who they are?

    I don't know much about the legalities of this but I would assume you could potentially get the police involved to track it down if you can find out who they are as what they have done is theft, especially considering the value of the parcel.

    Also as the contract with the delivery company is with the sender, it is up to them to claim for the compensation I think.

    Bet he signed himself and left it at the door and someone stole it, sounds a bit much for a man and woman to be stood at the door and he just gives it to them.
