Dpd frustration!! :(

Hey all,

I recently purchased a Pandora Bracelet online, along with 2 charms from the same website for my partners birthday in a week. The site chooses DPD as their courier which WAS fine by me, not now. I ended up paying around £150 for the items.

So, i recieved a text on the 6th August saying my delivery would arrive the next day, and if i wanted to change the date to text with the preffered date. I did so, and requested delivery for the 9th August as i am off work. Soon after i received a text saying my request had been accepted, and that my package would arrive on the 9th. Great.

Then, yesterday (8th) i recieved another text saying "Your parcel is out for delivery today 8th Aug and due to be delivered by DPD...."

DPD have NO contact number, their automated messages are rubbish and I had no choice but to let them fail to deliver it and leave me a Calling Card, then rearrange my delivery.

However, upon getting home late last night, i have NO calling card, NO parcel, NOTHING. I went online to check the delivery status and low and behold it says "Delivered". Investigated further and it says its been signed for by someone called "KARS". I never left any information or permission for DPD to leave my goods with someone else, and i CERTAINLY dont know anyone in my local area called KARS.

Anyone got any advice on how to approach this?

Sorry for the essay :rotfl:

Chris

try typing your town and DPD in google and you might get your local DPD office's number.
  • Thanks starrybee, got hold of them and on the phone now. Thank god the womans actually quite helpful and shes contacting the Driver who delivered it now ....

    ... fingers crossed
  • If anyones still interested, woman said that the driver isnt answering his phone (suprisingly!). Now shes gonna have to get back to me. Urghhh
  • Got through to Driver. Driver says he did deliver it to 87 Trafalgar Road. Apparently a man and woman said "Yeah we live here" and signed KARS for a package addressed to Mr Rice.

Now am having to raise a claim which will take god knows how long.

Someone please tell me i can claim some compensation for this?!

I think the important issue is finding your package. You clearly need to get back onto the depot and speak with the manager.
  • Just recieved an email from DPD saying that the driver said "He got a man and a woman to sign who were by the front gate, speaking to an elderly gentleman". However, one woman at DPD did say that it is their fault and to get onto the sender of the package, which im now struggling with.
