New House - Virgin or Orange?

I've just moved into a new house. Over the past 8 years or so in my last house I was with Virgin, mainly because they were cheapest for Internet when no phone line was required.
I am now looking for who to get internet with now. My mobile is with Orange so the deal looks quite financially good, and it's unlimited downloads so no need to worry about that.
I still have a fondness for Virgin as I've not had problems in the past.
Is there someone else I should be considering, and if not are there particular reasons to avoid orange/Virgin?
Muchas Gracias

Can you actually get VM cable service at the new address?
Do you have a BT-based landline at the property? I not, you'll need to get that installed first to t get any ADSL service.
Orange are one of the worst rated providers around.
Since broadband is exchange -specific, o an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com for your LLU options. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

There is VM at the house, no landline currently in use so that would need setting up.
LLU Options are:
AOL
o2/Be
C&W
Sky/Easynet
Talk Talk
Tiscali
Tiscali TV0 -
I wouldn't go near a non llu company0

So Sky or O2 are the obvious options. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Sky has 6 months free broadband, £12.25 line rental then £22.25 month 7-12 then switch & ditch
got a family member £101 cashback from topcashback aswell & £25 M&S voucher from Sky after 45 days. Upto 20MB speed.
Virgin will be expensive with no landline now those days are over...you should have transferred your package over to new house to keep the cheaper no landline deal (if they let you).
TalkTalk cutomer care is what Orange Broadband used to be.
Tiscali are Talk!!!!!!!! now^, Tiscali TV is no longer available for new provision since TT bought them.
AOL is now TT aswell.
C&W are now Vodafone owned & will no doubt replace the old Vodafone@home BT Wholesale company they run into the ground
Orange is now provided by BT Wholesale, if price is no issue to you get the £28.50 package with 1000 mins to mobiles, £6.25 over Sky will not buy 1000 mobile mins anywhere, TT Boosts are £5 for 500 mobile mins as the nearest. Orange includes 01/02/03 landlines calls ANYTIME over Sky off peak calls for same prefixes, also covers ANYTIME 0870/0845 calls & 30 international landlines for upto 1000 mins a month....Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and USA.
1000 mobile mins may help you with kids in the house or allow you to drop your mobile plan by more than £6.25 lol
Let us know how you get onSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
