Well life is finally back to normal, the mother has returned to where she lives and I shouldn't be seeing her again until May! :T

Sooooo its time to get back on the band wagon to pay off the mortgage!

I have also decided I want a new car.......:o I have had my car for 2 years now and its running fine but its going to be 8 years old next year and I want something larger and shinier so I am going to be saving for that as well!

I was tempted to get a loan to pay for it but I don't want to commit £200 a month for the next 5 years!

So I am going to be going savings mental for the next year I think!

So I am off out tonight to have a girly night and celebrate my mother leaving and then from tomorrow will be doing lots of money making/saving and college work!

I have also ordered my first 2 christmas presents today for Cara my DSD and my friends sons 3rd birthday presents from Amazon using vouchers. :D

I don't mean to be nosy, but did something happen between you and your mother? I think it's a bit sad that your so glad to see her go and celebrating not see her till next May.

I just can't imagine speaking about my mother in such a way because of all the things she has done for me.

Well done on all the other money saving you have been making and you sure are making good progress.

Mmmmm I could go into great detail about why I am celebrating but shes never been a mum to me, the rest of her and our family has disowned her for doing nasty things too many to list but include my brother having her arrested for haressment and her sending flowers to my sister in laws pretending they were from her ex husband who used to beat her up

Shes not a nice person, has spent last 2 weeks making me pay for her meals and driving her places, I never even get birthday presents or christmas presents from her.

I have my Dad who brought me up I don't need her.

Time for a proper money update!

Soooooo I decided to go and buy the car I was interested in and therefore am in a lot more debt! :o

But I was a little bit more sensible about it and got a bank loan to pay for it instead of car finance as the APR on the car finance was 14% and my bank loan is 6.2%!

So now on a major mission to pay off as much debt as I can thats costing me APR!

Am a bit distressed though as I left all my paperwork at the car dealer including the yellow slip for my old car and my tax disc which I could have sent back for a £80 refund.

The guy told me he would send them back to me in the post but that was a week ago and they haven't arrived! So stressing about losing £80 and also someone driving round in my old car getting me speeding fines!

Asked OH to ring them Monday as fed up now, nearly been in tears about it.....

I need to sort out Christmas presents shortly, I have £30 worth of Boots Vouchers, £70 worth of Tesco Exchange vouchers and £30 of John Lewis Vouchers to use so best get cracking!

Spending/Christmas budget for the month is £154 after all bills and credit cards paid for!

So heres hoping those vouchers go far and I get that £80 back, although its all lost in post I am going to be gutted :(

Took a dress back today and got a £18 credit note for it as took it back quite late so will add that to the Christmas Fund Stash!

Did spend £32 though in the local pottery place where you paint your own stuff and they glaze it and you collect it, I made a reindeer bowl which looks epic! :D And my DSD made a room sign and a small santa and a puppy dog :)

Can't wait to get my bowl next week!

Oh and £8ish on food and drink for us too.

Decided to open my terramundi last night that I have had for 2.5 years and it had £366 in it! :D:beer::D

So £16.20 went on chinese and the rest will go on Christmas and Credit Card.

Just spent £170 on Amazon but have now got all of OH's christmas pressies, his sons birthday present and a dvd for his daughter for christmas and my dads christmas present.

I used £70 of Vouchers in Tesco exchange on Thursday and got my nieces presents, friends sons presents and some of oh's daughters presents and another book for OH's son.

Planning on using my John Lewis Vouchers on his daughters other presents, and will use New Look credit note on a present for one of my friends so getting there slowly but still a fair amount to buy!

Did a swagbucks offer that will net me an extra £15 voucher plus my £10 back too so can use that on Amazon as well.

Hoping to save the £30 I have on my boots card but do want some of the Terramundi cash to go towards clearing a bit off my credit card.

My tax disc finally arrived so have sent that off to DVLA so will get £70 (£80 if I am lucky) back from that anyway!

Off for a nap now I think as online shopping and a horrid day at work have shattered me!

Wow, I'm so impressed with your Christmas shopping being mostly with vouchers and credit notes.

Get some rest... you deserve it after working and all that Christmas present shopping!

To be honest I have had around £300 Amazon Vouchers throughout the year too but ended up spending them on random stuff, a new coat and presents for other peoples birthdays, wedding etc.

Next year I want all of Christmas to be from vouchers especially as I might be pregnant around then!

Had a busy and annoying week this week.

Managed to hand in some of the college work I am well behind on but still not done enough!

Work has generally been rubbish all week, had a first aid course on Wednesday which I have to do for next two wednesdays as well which TBH I can't be bothered to do!

Yesterday at work was topped off by being given a tin of biscuits by one of my customers as a thank you and then having them taken off me straight away to go in the christmas raffle......

We are not allowed to accept cash but apparantly there is no point in ever being nice and helpful as you get no reward from work and anything nice you might get from a customer is taken away too!

So I came home and applied for a job at a local vets which is in an area I want to work in anyway and if nothing comes from that I will defo be baby making next year!

I have just transferred another £550 onto the Virgin Credit Card meaning I only have £350 to clear off the HSBC card which I can do by end of the year meaning all my card debts will be at 0% on that card and I looked at the rates today and are as follows:

    £696 0% interest free until 1st April 2013
    £2156 0% interest free until 1st June 2013
    £1870 0% interest free until 2nd December 2013

So need to find/make a lot of dosh in the next year.......

    Sooooo its nearly Christmas time!

To be honest I am more excited about payday!

Unfortunately I am not very well today so missed work which means £60 less in my paypacket this payday but I have just calculated that after clearing all my credit card debts and bills I will still have £295 cash left over to last me until January payday which I will save most off as no social plans for Jan!

This is if the Christmas money I am hoping for arrives! My tax disc refund arrived today so will get that paid in ASAP.

Looks like me and OH will be trying for a baby in new year too so 2013 needs to be a very frugal year!

I have some new years money resolutions already!

    • No online bingo  (do it when I am bored or if a cashback offer is on but normally costs me more.)
    • Join all the no spend day challenges on DFW and work out my daily budget, when its not spent I will transfer to savings to clear debts like the payment a day threads!
    • Make sure all of next christmas and ideally birthdays are paid for by vouchers!
I also have some personal resolutions too but I will list those another day!
