One week to payday and I am doing ok on the money front but thats only down to luck.
I managed to win £280 from William Hill Bingo on slots. naughty to play I know but I only let myself play max £20 a month on bingo and luckily this time paid off.
So now I have that money and £100 left in cash in the bank too which is good
Claimed £60 from TCB too today as well.
I have been quite good at NSDs too although have been buying a few clothes this month.
Saturday is the hen night for the wedding I am bridesmaid for next weekend so thats going to be a (big!) spend day but I took lunch yesterday, had free lunch on my work course today and will do tomorrow as well and will try take lunch Thursday.
Friday I am on a half day to get my hair done for the hen do and do a bit of shopping.
Wedding is costing me a fortune and its not even my wedding!
Which reminds me I need to look for a gift although she wants cash.... giving me best friend cash is not something I really agree with....:o

Wedding gifts ordered from Amazon so used some of my Christmas stash Amazon fund to save some pennies....
I was hoping for the xmas fund to be £300 but not sure thats going to happen now but it all helps!
So just hen night, hair cut, bag to go with the wedding dress and hotel on night of the wedding to pay for and gift of money!
Then 3 more dental appointments before november then car insurance then christmas! It never ends!

Well another payday has been and gone!!!
£250 chucked into the savings, £200 paid off credit cards for last months spends and after all bills I have approx £200 spending money for the month.
I am off work for 3 days now to chill out and do wedding stuff.
Gifts all sorted, got holiday money for the happy couple too, just need to buy a wedding card and bag for the wedding.
Hotel to pay for for Saturday night as well.
Getting car serviced today at my old work so more money there, hopefully not too much but I need a safe car as I mainly drive alone and am back at college now driving down country lanes late at night.
Oh and my female cats booster jabs in a couple weeks too! But hopefully thats going to go on credit card to be paid off in Novembers statement.
Hoping next payday we can chuck another £2k at the mortgage as well! If we can manage it every few months then we should be able to get it down to £100k by the first anniversary date!

Been meaning to do a update for ages but not much to report, just lots of spending!

Done my bit as bridesmaid, lost count of how much I spent at wedding on drinks and in the days off before on clothes/food
but £90 for hotel room for the night!
Other big spends this month have included car service and new exhaust, cats booster jab and my credit cards have taken a hammering.
£280 to pay off them next payday, not looking likely I will be saving my usual £250 this coming payday..:o had to take out £50 this month and might still need another £50 as off to London night before payday!
And got 2 more dental appointments coming up - car insurance due in Dec and oh yes that thing called Christmas!
As I am back at college and have the woman that gave birth to me visiting *long horrid family history problems with her* and intruding in my life from this Friday for at least 2 weeks I am not going to be doing much money making just more spending!
I plan to start things properly again in November and we will be paying off another £2k on the mortgage by the end of this month!
Got a statement through today, have racked up £910 interest on the mortgage since we started it 3 months ago! :eek:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
In a positive mood today although bit tired.
I have managed to rack up £8 in £2 coins since yesterday so have put them all in my sealed pot, really hoping its full and can be opened soon as been filling it for over 2 years with £2 coins but it seems to be a bottomless pit! Should have about £400 in when full. I have been chucking a few fivers in too.
Get paid on Thursday and it can;t come quick enough especially as I am off to London Wednesday night!
Only working 2.5 days next week due to gig in london, mother visiting and generally having a long weekend.
I really need to get back on Swagbucks, surveys etc. My christmas fund is pretty much empty again although I did buy some textbooks, house bits and a new coat for me out of it....:o
Looking forward to budgetting for November where I plan to get as many NSDs in as possible and looking forward to chucking another £2k at the mortgage as well! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Managed to do my Adpoints for the week today so 250 Nectar points there.
Also filled in my claim form for my health care through work to get my £75 for my filling back so that will get posted tomorrow.
Did spend £30 on a piece of metal in Pets at Home for the guinea pig cage to go on though as the table they lived on has now gone
Looks like its worth £5 but guinea pigs now inside for the winter as its due to get cold this week, saves me going out in the rain and cold to feed them too though
Sad its Sunday night but only 2.5 days to go to the weekend! And payday! Can't wait to make another overpayment to the mortgage, balance will be under £106k then
List of things to do this week- Take our scrap metal to the scrapyard to weigh in for cash
- Put trousers I brought from Next and dont like on eBay
- Sort out DVDs and CDs to send off to Music Magpie
- Do one of my college assignments

Woooohooo have made an overpayment of £1500 to the mortgage bringing it down to £107,069. :j
We didn't have enough spare in the bills account to make a £2k payment but its all better than nothing
Not going to be able to save any cash this month due to credit card bills being high from wedding and car repairs but at least they are clear again now! Well not the 0% one but still.
Got about £200 spending money for the month but am going to try not spend much of it so I can use it next month for Christmas pressies.
I got good news from the periodontist that I don't have to go back to see him for a year so thats good news for my teeth and wallet!
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
It's reat about your teeth! It's crazy how expensive it can be to get things done to them. Well done on the OP too, thats a huge one, it must feel great

Recieved my cheque for £75 from my health insurance so have paid the money off my credit card.
Aim for this month is not to use credit cards at all so will only have £180 to clear next payday as its becoming a bit crippling.
My mother is still here which is putting me in a constantly bad mood so not getting much done which is putting me behind on being MF and at college, am managing to work and see her and be in a foul mood rest of time!
She leaves Saturday though, I am off out drinking Saturday night, hopefully after Sunday normal service shall resume!
I really want to start whacking more cash into savings so we can pay off the extra £6.5k by July meaning we will have managed to overpay 10% and then hoping to have another lot saved ready to be chucked at it once the 1st year has passed! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Thanks Becky.
OH feels more secure seeing our household fund build up to a larger amount before we overpay hence lump sum overpayments.
Hoping to make another lump sum of £2k at end of January. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
