Sky new menu update

Just a bit of a heads up for those that have had the new style menu updated, or those who are yet to get it,

Since our update we have had random programmes record with the audio description on even though its marked as 'off' - its not every one or even some kind of pattern to it,

Anyway, contacted sky today and they are aware, they have provided a link with a way to download a new update which should fix the problem.

i have only just done mine so cant confirm it works but thought i would share it here in case anyway is being driven crazy by the annoying voice over !

    Had mine for weeks and no problems.

    Does it depend on the model?

    Does this process cause you to lose your recorded programs?

    No,everything will be as it was before you updated the box,this is just a generic software update that should be done whenever a Sky box is installed.

    I've no idea to be honest, I found a few other users reporting the same problem on sky.com and the live chat adviser said it was a known problem to them,

    if you have the new style menu and have had no problems they perhaps its just those updated at different times effected ??


    As answered we didnt lose any of our recordings, took about 20 minutes in total.
