Does it have to be Microsoft Office? Considered Libre Office? which is compatible with MS Office files and best of all it's free! How do I add a signature?0

I really would like microsoft office.0

Fair enough. Are you aware the layout is different from the Windows version? How do I add a signature?0

TBH I'm not, that's what I need to look at, what the differences are and how compatible with windows office it will be for work purposes. I was hoping pages and keynotes would be enough but having a quick look at them they are pretty different.
I also wanted a mac version of publisher which there doesnt seem to be, I assume pages is meant to replace that too.0 -
Compatibility shouldn't be an issue. IIRC the differences are limited to the look and feel of the program, but that in itself could be an issue if you're used to doing tasks on auto-pilot where you just know where things are.How do I add a signature?0

Compatibility with Windows Office is spot on.

Guess I need to give pages and keynotes more of a chance before spending £80 or more on microsoft office.0 -

Does any of your immediate family work for a very large corporation or government body? If they do then there is the Home User Program which allows you to get it simply for an administration fee (was around £12 last time I saw).
The caveat is that you "must" delete it if you ever leave the employment of that organisation but I have known those that have "forgotten" to do so and it continues to function and update as normal.0 -

This is how I got my copy and it cost me £8:95
When I bought it originally it was Office 2007 for the PC. I then started using a Mac and found I couldn't buy the Mac version as the Home use program only allows you to buy a single copy.
I called Microsoft and they amazed me. I explained the change from PC to Mac and they said "no problem, I'll refund you the cost of the Windows version and as soon as this gets recorded on our system it will then let you buy the Mac version. Please leave it a week then try again. If you still have a problem call us back."
I got the refund on my card and a week later was able to buy the Mac version :TOne by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
