Upset with Orange retentions team please help!

Hey

I posted a few days ago- my contract was due to end with orange and I wanted advice on the Sony 880i which is on its way to me :).

I got my orange contract on 8th April 2006 and it expires on the 7th April. I got my phone on this date as it conincides with the billing dates of Orange! and I know when I get my free minutes on the same date. However, I called up from a landline phone I believe to give 30 days notice on the 7th March. They could not give me a good deal so I left. I called up today to make sure but apparently they cannot see that instruction.

They obvious think I am stupid and thoght I spoke to customer services but I know you speak to the retentions departments to either leave or stay. Orange have been so good to me and obviously when I want to leave they deny that I never called to cancel and how should I say it...not as nice to me any more? and I spoke to the supervisor at retnetions as well!

I am really upset that they deny that they cannot do anything about this. Who can I complain to or express my anger that Orange has forced me to pay another line's rental? . I am really geniunely upset becuase I followed the instructions and have been a good orange customer. Either that or they are saying that I am stupid and I never called them-that I am quite upset about.

at least I have my new phone which arrives tomorrow....switching to T mobile.....spoke to customer services and they seem really nice :rotfl:

If you have a complaint about your mobile phone company, you should speak to them about it first. If this doesn't solve the problem, you can make a formal complaint to the company. You can find details of how to do this on the back of your phone bill. If you can't find these details, the company's customer service staff will tell you how to make a formal complaint.

All phone companies are required to have a formal customer complaints process. If the company hasn't got one, you should tell the communications watchdog, Ofcom

If you have made a formal complaint to the phone company and this hasn't solved the problem, you can try using the company's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. Your phone company might belong to one of two ADR schemes which have been approved by Ofcom:

OTELO (the Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman) or
CISAS (Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme

So you dont have to use your phone bill heres an 0800 number for Orange
