    I've been Money Tipped!
It works equally well with both methods. I slice my banana and start frying it in coconut oil before adding the egg/cinnamon then make an omelette as normal.

I've also mashed the banana into the egg mixture and used that as my omelette basis... same results :D

I have just finished my banana omlette. Its certainly sweet enough from the banana. I didn't 'love' it but it was certainly ok, and i can see me trying to develop a habit for it. I have recently been told i must increase my potasium intake, and while i like bananas i do not eat them regularly, so this looks like a good way to do that.

Anyone doubting the sweetness don't, it is sweet from the bananas, and the cinnamon is necessary imo.

Thank you Chameleon for this idea.

Thank you so much for your amazing posts Fire Fox, went to a big Tesco as the Tesco Express stores are not great, they have next to no variety, i.e. only one type of porridge.

Bought some organic porridge as they didnt sell any jumbo oats but £2.25 for 1kg!!! Paid £1.40 for regular porridge 1kg previously. Wonder if wholefoods would be cheaper. Also got medium oatmeal stoneground 500mg for 85p (no bigger option). Got some cocoa, there were 2 options, Cadburys or Tesco own brand, both said 100% cocoa, no indication the Cadburys one was free trade or organic so went for the cheaper Tesco one.

Reading ingredients of products, most of the stuff in this huge Tesco just seemed to be crap, looked at some lassis that contained sugar and fructose syrup, just sugar is not enough!! Mustard that contains wheat flour (in France i randomly bought some mustard, no checking the label in the shop, it didn't contain wheat).

I've been using xylitol for ages instead of sugar in tea but can only buy it in Waitrose so buy a few packets at a time.

the solution of course was to go to Waitrose. Jumbo oats, organic oats, oatbran, wide choice of cocoa. Wider choice of everything.

How are everyones eating habits? I've not had any coke but still crave it and would love a glass, same goes for regular chocolate. Would love some right now as have a headache and sugary stuff would really help.

Instead had grilled vegetables cooked with onions and rice with pesto. And a cup of cocoa with xylitol and milk.

:j Well done for sticking with it, that's awesome!! :j Be sure to have a little protein in that meal next time, it helps stabilise the blood sugar.

thats what i thought re: the protein at 3am when i woke up starving still with a huge headache so took more painkillers and two pieces of rye bread toasted with cheese! knackered today. Painkillers were not doing much.

hate cooking! the grilled veg and onions were all frozen ones from waitrose so it was 5 minutes to cook, packet rice in the microwave for 2 mins. washing up and mess is still all there to be cleaned up tonight.

This is my main reason for eating convenience food, like most people its convenient and saves on time and cooking makes me angry with all the mess; Really annoyed incase its not apparent lol, am having porridge for my lunch today, cooked at someone elses house in a stainless steel pan rather than non stick pan, it tastes different, wonder if its the pan or organic oats or both? Having orange juice too though....Arghhhh so annoyed why cant we just take a pill and not have to eat?

Real food can be quick to cook and little washing up, a slow cooker is a great investment. I have a more expensive model that steams rice, slow cooker, porridge and a veg steamer. You don't watch it or stir anything, just chuck ingredients in, switch on and it beeps when done. Rice goes automatically onto 'keep warm' so you don't have to eat immediately.

I can throw a stew/ casserole/ bolognese/ curry together in under five minutes - but that is preparation time for several meals not one. I am too lazy to fry off meat or onions so they go in raw! :o This is the latest model of what I have, there are other brands no doubt

Packet rice may be fairly high GI: basmati rice can be batch steamed, frozen and microwaved. Better still would be canned beans or lentils heated through. :)

Thank you Fire fox for the link!! Thats really helpful. I will probably buy one.

Resisting having fruit yoghurts being offered to me, the ingredients are not food! What proportion of people in this country don't eat processed food the majority of the time?
  • Or you can take this fat burner, exercise like mad (believe me, you'll want to!) and watch the weight literally drop off in days. Then once you've reached your ideal weight, just eat sensibly and bobs yer uncle :)

A very small proportion given that bread, breakfast cereals and pasta are all processed! Unfortunately too many of those who go the 'ultra healthy' route end up on restrictive commercial diets which eliminate entire food groups and don't always replace the nutrients with other foods.

We also have a massive problems with health conditions known to be linked to poor lifestyle choices, plus loads of people with symptoms that don't add up to a diagnosable condition such as feeling stressed, energy peaks and troughs, sleep disturbances, premature wrinkling, ridges in nails. :(
