I snipe with the maximum I am prepared to pay, if that wasnt enough, so be it.

saves you getting carried away on a bidding war and paying more than you originally intended to...

I just done my own 1second effort! I used snipe with 1 second to go for the first time ever and it worked a treat!

Not if you bid your maximum. Decide what that is and bid it late. If someone else bids higher than your maximum, that is life. Don't chase other bids.

You will only lose (not win) if someone else bids higher or someone else bids the same amount but enters their bid earlier than you.

Don’t bid one amount and then bid higher just because someone else has outbid your lower bid.

Therein lies frenzy bidding and overpaying.
