I just done my own 1second effort! I used snipe with 1 second to go for the first time ever and it worked a treat!0

You will only lose (not win) if someone else bids higher or someone else bids the same amount but enters their bid earlier than you.
Don’t bid one amount and then bid higher just because someone else has outbid your lower bid.
Therein lies frenzy bidding and overpaying.
