Hi chums looks like everyones having a good day, Happy belated birthday Molly glad to hear you are being spoiled (thats whats birthdays are for :):))
Took the boys to Rochester Cathedral, and the Queens Jubilee Mosaic was amazing the boys thought it was 'cool' which means I think that they approved :)
Then we had a nice drink in a twee little cafe that cost a bomb but its only once in awhile we do it so I don't mind.

I donated my old cam-corder to Henry and he has been 'filming' all day.Jack had my old Olympus camera which he was chuffed to bits with. Mikey's not fussed as he likes to do the posing for the movies :):)The boys are quite interested in taking snaps, and my old first digital camera has seen better days and was only sitting in the cupboard. If it keeps the kids interested its worth giving it to them. They both are now even keener on our forthcoming holiday.
DGS Danny seems OK, but I think he will feel better when he know's what's going on with his 'ticker', never being ill for hardly a day in his young life its a worry when he has a bit of an upset, but as I said at least his Dr is on the ball and he is being checked out properly I'll be glad when its the 30th and he has his 'echo' then we will know whats going on.Still he had a bit of good news the job he went after on Monday he has been offered, and his boss at Pointless said to take it as its only for four months then in January he will be back on Pointless again, plus the show will look good on his CV Its Alan Titmarsh's daytime show so it will be a change from a quiz show I guess. It perked him up no end being offered it .In t.v. you are on contract to mabe several shows during the year so moving around to different shows is a good thing.Never a dull moment in his life at least.
DDs got her courtesy car at last so she is mobile once more.
Right I'm off to sort out something to eat as I'm feeling a bit hollow at the moment
    take care all

    Hi.

    Late one from me too.

Spent a really happy day today covering new pew cushions for our refurbished church.
Lots of us ladies (I use the term loosely) took our sewing machines etc to the church hall and we spent a few happy hours cutting, sewing and finally covering the foam cushions. They are all 6 feet long and it was a bit like stuffing a sausage or putting a cover on a long thin duvet. Much raucous laughter and clacking tongues. Next session on Friday and I can't wait.

    Love to all.

Hi all, hope you're all as well as can be, and I see it was Molly's birthday so a slightly belated happy birthday to you, hope you had a lovely day.

Today I had to take a granny trolley into work with me. Luckily I don't think any of my workmates saw it, at least I didn't have any awkward questions. It was so I could pick up a Nest Of Tables on the way home that I've bought, and the weight stated on the website would be too heavy for me to carry home but thought I'd be able to wheel it on the trolley.

It would have been better had the box fitted in the trolley bag, grr. But I asked a man working there if he could help me get it on the trolley and he was very helpful, and got some string and strapped it to the frame for me so all good. Put the tables together when I got home (you had to attach the legs) and am now sat admiring them some more. They're bloody gorgeous.

Anyone know where I can get something to protect the top of one? As they're made of real wood you obviously can't put hot mugs etc down or it will damage them, the instructions were very emphatic on this as well, but as soon as I tell OH he must be careful he claims we'll have to get something to put down as he will forget to use coasters et al and he WILL end up damaging it. And then of course I shall be forced to kill him, so in the interests of domestic harmony any ideas?

  • :bdaycake:happy Birthday molly, sorry it is a late greeting, but it has been a hectic day at chez Butterfly.

Got the appointment through for the camera and it is on 28th August . That is a worry that it is so quick.... Oh well the sooner it is done the better.

monnagran..... Did your man who has the dog with a sore foot get any help with a vet ? I hate thinking of an animal who is suffering.

Well I am off to bed will chat properly tomorrow so sleep well x
