    Morning all,
Woke up in a panic in the middle of the night....do not know when my car's MOT is due and since the cold tank leaked earlier this I lost a lot of paperwork as it all got soaked. So first job is trying to find MOT cert or log book (so that I can check online). Pretty sure it is due before end of this month.
Have a class at the gym, then a couple of errands and off to find a reconditioned WM for son's bungalow this afternoon. Was told at the weekend about a place that sells reconditioned white goods with a guarantee, so that sounds likje a good bet.
Have been fighting off a minor migraine for a couple of days now. I have run out of prescription pills for them and ordinary pain killers don't really help much but I have no time to go to doctors. Luckily it's not a 'full strength' one. someone suggested it could be the reduction in stress now that my son is sorted causing it. Sounds odd to me but it certainly fits previous patterns of migraines.
Have a good day all you who are out and about. Hope the sun shines.

Halight I love the Black country museum (I was brought up in Walsall).

Hilstep Good luck with the story.

nlj1520 I know that feeling about the MOT, I always forget when mine is due.

    JackieO enjoy your day out.

The sun is out today and I am determined to tidy up the garden. The lawn hasn't been mown for 3 weeks and the hedge looks like it belongs in the jungle, I keep expecting David Bellamy to pop out of it!!!

Tea tonight is pork chops and HM wedges.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning JackieO and all,

halight have fun at the Blackcountry museum, ive been several times over the years and really enjoyed it. I know its important to look forward but its nice to look back too to how things were. I enjoyed the trip along the canal but i wasnt so keen on the underground mine visit as i dont like the dark (ok your not totally in the dark but it was dark enough). I'm pretty proud of my heritage and Black Country roots.

Happy birthday Molly i hope you have a lovely day.

Didnt sleep well again last night. My daughter and her partener are struggling with sleep deprivation in South Africa too as she is fostering three orphaned babies. Its a pity i wasnt there to help her we could have had a baby each.

Need to wash the bedding today, Wednesdays come round so fast!

Have a great day all :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Little bear has followed his 'are there toilets in heaven' by asking at the top of his voice at a crowded bus stop why I have got boobies on. As I am always stuck with the same old frontage, I have no idea why he suddenly commented and in that way (except it is normal for five), but I said it was because I was a mummy and was that the bus coming...

Bought a gas fire. The current one is around twenty years old, and the big show room was having a closing down sale, so I got £50 off for a show room model. Being fitted Tuesday.

Slug proof kettle a horror to use.

Brisket that was slow cooked in lots of liquid Monday has done soup Monday, with potatoes last night and is curry tonight. It is still quite a bit of spend per meal. If I needed to I could have extended it to another meal, and cooking in the slow cooker makes a good meal, very tender, it is still a bit of an extravagance. I'll see what I can pick up on Saturday.

Envy trip to the museum. Little bear is not getting the exposure to museums he should, and I love anything like that. Fingers crossed we will have a trip to the Chocolate Museum in York next week, which will be expensive and probably the highlight of little bear's holiday.

Absolutely no idea what I am getting up to today, probably washing as the weather is finally not raining! I may get the blankets out, washed, dried, sorted and then eventually, when I get round to it, in the fullness of time, I can get the discards to the charity shop/animal shelter.

    Hugs to all.

Hester, they had some in Aldi recently, otherwise try poundstretcher, Wilkinsons or Argos.
