I found the aftertaste of the coffee unpleasant because of a bitter plastic flavour.

Maybe the hot steam and boiling water releases some of the chemicals in the plastic sheet and container? Maybe the milk comes with sugar to soften/disguise this ?

I don't like being forced to drink only one type of coffee blend/bean and I don't like being forced to take sugar.

I think they should make recyclable cartridges which I could fill with my own blend and sell the sugary milk separately from the coffee pods, so that I could choose whether or not I want them.

Then I would know whether the aftertaste is down to the coffee or the container.

I think the bitterness is down to the coffee, I can only drink milky coffees which is why the machiato is my fave at the moment, i tried the cafe lungo that I made for my hubby and it was far too strong and bitter for my liking

Do you need to leave the machine on for a while to heat up before you use it to make a coffee? I tried mine earlier on and found that the cafe lungo I made was lukewarm when it came out of the machine.

When initially switch on green central light will flash, when it becomes solid green, push switch to red, then the water should be hot enough

Should be steamy coffee cups have had whole family gathered round to be trained how to use it and one very handy part is that it only heats the water you need for each cup so quicker than waiting for the kettle to boil and must be more enviro friendly as a result!!! Did think the cappuchino milk had a funny flavour and did find the expresso was fab if you just fill a mug with it (more water than recommended) then top up with warm normal milk fab!!!

Dare not drink anymore or I won't sleep tonight.

Got my machine today too and am very impressed. I have tried the tassimo machine in the past and was worried that this would be similar, but its much, much better.
