The best and only way to close your account on MSE, is to stop using it. Regardless of the technicalities behind the MSE forums, the rules were still there when you signed up.

There is no point in arguing about it, it has not only already been mentioned clearly to you, one member has gone to the trouble of quoting it for you. MSE don't close or delete your account, that's just the way it is on here.

It really is simples: Use throwaway email addresses and different usernames.

You agreed to terms of use when you signed up, didn't you?

Was going to reply but not much point as i was just going to repeat the post by faerie anyway, it really is simple, takes all of 20 seconds to create a throw email and use that for mse and just forget about the email you created.

To what end exactly? What do you imagine a person would hope to achieve by doing such a thing? Tarnish whatever MSE reputation you think you have?
