I think you'll find that people want cheap bills, not higher priced ones just because they're more simple to understand. ...
You'd have thought that, wouldn't you, especially from a moneysaving website.... But a MoneySavingExpert.com poll last year revealed people wanted simpler tariffs, even if it means paying a little more....0 -

Well, all I can say is that I'm totally mystified by that, when everyone's bills are getting that high now that people are finding it hard to heat their homes in a winter. Particularly hard for people who are on all electric.

Standing charge tariffs make no difference to the average user. The only losers will be very low users. Unless you are on holiday for a whole billing period then again no difference.
It all depends still though on what Eon's standing charge will be, then over a year, compare the bills to what they would have been using the 2 tier. I hope it 'will' turn out cheaper.

Previous Eon SCs have always equalled the first unit premium give or take a few pence a year.0

You are paying higher bills, because in part of the so called green initiatives that pay huge subsidies for wind farms that produce little electricity , and fit payments for middle class solar bling. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

so true, not forgetting "free" cavity wall and loft insulation, someone has to pay for it all. Wonder who that is?0 -
You are right in that you get stung when not using elec but only over longer periods if you are still the occupant. Short term losses are restricted to landlords who won't be happy and potentially a smaller impact to holiday let's dependant on their occupancy rates.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0
