Facebook & Ebay Acc Blocked Message

Options
last night while using facebook i had something come up on my FB account saying my account has been blocked and asking for card details to verify my account. thing is it is displayed at the top of my FB page and if i scroll i can then view some of my Fb page.

i then had the same sort of message on my ebay.

I have done a virus scan using my AV (trend micro) and nothing.

can anyone advise what to do to get rid of it?

my accounts arent blocked btw, as if i use hubbys laptop i dont have the messages.

TIA

Use your husband's laptop to inform FB & E bay about this. You have had a virus attack, someone is trying to obtain your CC details. If you cannot download Malwarebytes, it is blocking everything except what it wants you to do.

Worst case scenario: you may have to wipe the machine by reinstalling Windows.

What are you running? (Windows 7, XP?)
Do you have vital stuff on that PC?

It may be possible to use System Recovery to return the machine to an earlier (uninfected) time. Reply and I will tell you what to do.

    EDIT:
Are the laptop & PC networked, or part of a Homegroup, or are they separate? I hope the latter, if not do not have them on at the same time.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

Try downloading malwarebytes from your husbands laptop and then pop it on a USB stick to install it on your laptop

I suspect you may have a corrupted (deliberately corrupted, that is) hosts file redirecting AV supplier links to prevent you from downloading tools to clear your machine

Can you start in 'safe with networking' mode, then try again?
