What would you have told your younger self?

- Dump that twerp NOW, not four years wasted time later.
- Having dumped the twerp, DON'T marry the next one just because your mother said no-one else would look twice at you.
- Being the offspring of a child-molester does not make YOU an evil person.
- Get your painful back sorted out NOW. It'll save you years of agony later.
- Having children is not compulsory. Accept that you are not maternal and don't let anyone else tell you you're weird, evil, or anything else.
- Move out of your parents' house at the very first opportunity, even if it means renting a bedsit.
- Don't believe anyone who tells you you're useless, worthless, a waste of space or anything similar.
- Always have a Plan B.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Do what you want to do - even when the people you love tell you to do something else because 'it's what you know'

The day you walk into the bank at the start of term in your second year of uni to get a student overdraft - turn around and walk straight back and avoid getting on the debt/credit rollercoaster you will still be on in ten years time.
Don't be too sad when you and your boyfriend break up aged 21. Because in two years time after a lot of growing up you will both find each other again, get married and have a lovely home with a gorgeous dog and a beautiful baby boy. Yes - thats right, a dog - it turns out you love them after all!MFW!

Hm, what would I tell my younger self..
Nothing, - I doubt if I'd have listened :rotfl:
We are the people we are today because of what's happened to us. Sure, there are many things I could have done differently, and life could have taken me in a different direction but would it necessarily have been better.. I'm not sure.
Sometimes we don't choose the paths we take, they choose us.

To keep on making music.
To not listen to my father when I came home from school having scored 97% and first got a sulk because of "where's the other 3?" then screamed at when he asked if anyone did better and yes, the cleverest kid in the school got 98. I'm now in my 30s and still wrecking my own life because I never feel I'm good enough even now. (Although strangely enough my dad is now my biggest supporter and tells me how well I'm doing at everything, it's me that has taken over the beating myself up.)Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
I would have told myself to excercise at 13 because being a fat teenager was hell and battled with my weight going up and down ever since.
I would have told myself to ignore what other people wanted me to do and gone to Art school.Total Debt Feb 2012 [STRIKE]£12,153[/STRIKE] 10674 16.5% Paid
