Parking eye problem

I hope someone here can give me some advice on a problem I have.
I received a letter/demand from parking eye stating that I had not paid for parking on a particular day ( whilst on holiday ).
Letter states that I have to pay £90 or £60 ( if I pay soon )
The thing is I did pay for a ticket but it did not put my registration on the ticket.
So they think totally I had not paid anything at all , when in fact I did.
The only problem I have is that I don't have the ticket :(

Before I explored the world wide web about parking eye I rather stupidly contacted them via email to explain what had happened.
I am rather annoyed / scared now because after reading about "what to do" and " what not to do " I really don't know what to do.

Is there anyone out there who can give me some advice please ?
thanks for any help

  • It's not a problem. You simply ignore everything you get from them (and any so-called debt collectors or so-called solicitors) from now on. Eventually they will go away.

Its absolutely correct - You don't owe them a penny.

Check the forum sticky to see the letters they will send you and just tick them off till the end of the scam.

Also peruse some of the hundreds of PE threads in this forum to see the advice for each and every one - IGNORE. It works! :)

Thanks again - you have put my mind at ease over this.
My brother in law and his family also received exactly the same demand through their door today as well, I have relayed this information to them.

I have also give the information to my mother who is still on holiday there and used that same car park.

    Thanks to you all.

It is a scam. Ignore it. NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, no CCJ, nothing! It's not a real PCN so please also tell your family this fact too.

The letters the registered keeper will now receive are no biggie, just file them. They really are like phishing emails and you can see right through them when you know it's all hot air.

As long as none of your cars that got the fake 'tickets' are company or hire cars then it's easy for the registered keepers to ignore the letters now they know it's all a well-known con trick.

Oh and show your family the Watchdog clip linked on another top sticky thread 'PPC letters & threats' which is currently 2nd from the top of the forum list, only one click away - see my signature. The same thread also has preview pictures of each letter so you can just play snap with them rather than actually read their debt collector baloney.

It's not difficult to play 'snap' with some junk mail you can predict and it doesn't matter that you were intially duped into thinking you could 'appeal' (think about it...this is a fake PCN from a scammer so why would there be any appeal?! It's just to get info from you and to make it seem like a real parking ticket).

Enjoy the Summer and just tick off each matching letter against our thread.
