Heres a new one for u all

on the 22nd of April 2012 i had received a parking ticket for parking in a bay that apparently is private property,
fair enough i hear u say lol

heres this P!ss take ( let me paint the picture for u )

there are 5 bays, 2 on the left of the bins and 3 on the right of the bin
on the left of the bins are 2 bays which has a clear sign that u can not park in there 2 bays, n these bays also have the metal poles on the ground ok fair enough

on the other side of the bins, there are NO signs and no poles,
to make things worse if you came from the side road in which alot of ppl do, u would never be able 2 see the sign in the other 2 bays as the bins block the other 2 bays. ( make sense i shall post pics )

back 2 the story

i then parked in the bay on the right of the bins as there is no signs at all to determine i can not park there at all, and the parking restrictions around the area are mon-friday 8.30am till 5.30pm
i got my parking ticket at 6.21am on a sunday

so to cut a long story kinda short i appealed this parking fine ( as it was a private company who issued it in the 1st place )
i sent emails and letters to appeal this fine,
HERE THE !!!! TAKE

They wrote back to me saying that they feel they are in the right for this fine,
BUT 2 weeks later after i had been appealing it guess what..??
YEP

THEY PUT UP A SIGN RIGHT WHERE I HAD PARKED MY CAR, AND IN DOING SO THEY STILL WANT ME 2 PAY THEM loool

now ive been getting harsh lettings from them and the fine is £150 and they talking about sending collectors round for the payment.

what to do ppl, pay or not 2 pay?
help needed

Did you have a photo that there was no sign there when you parked, if they turn around and say that sign has been up for months/years, it's your word against theirs.

What do I think ? Ignore them - they'll go away.

I also think your post would have been much easier to read if it hadn't been written in text speak !

If its a private company, all you need to do is ignore them.

Which one is it? You might find their scam letter chain in the forum sticky already and if not, you would help everyone by submitting/completing it. :)

AND ITS NOT A FINE, just a request for you to volunteer to pay them.

confirm,,have you recieved a PENALTY CHARGE or a PARKING CHARGE notice,,who do they want you to pay, name them.
  • Thanks Guys,
Yeah i do have pictures to show that there hasnt been a sign there at all, let alone months or weeks.

As soon as i appealed this fine weeks later they then put a sign right there.
whats funny is i actually sent the photographic evidence to show they are in the wrong and that a sign was not properly displayed, they still sent me a letter to say i must pay..

No, they really are not! Look at those letters again, they do NOT say they are sending someone round.

Parking Charge Notice from a Private firm, yes? Then it is NOT A FINE!!

Why on earth are you writing to them, did you not yet read this forum and see that it's all a mail scam a bit like phishing emails? Man up and ignore them for goodness' sake!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
