Wrong assumption - many are omnidirectional but some are only 90 or 180 depending on topography. The network knows, but the only way you will is to look at it.

You mean that site will give you the height of the mast but not say if it transmits in your direction? How bizarre! So I'll have to suspend my plans to drill a hole in the gable in the loft and do a reccy to the mast!
