Wyke Farms Rich & Creamy Mature Cheese - Blergh!

Options
Apparently, it has been 'Selected for it's creamy rounded flavour.'

The packet says Rich & Creamy. Yet bland & waxy is a better decription. I've tasted better when licking my fingers after extinguishing a candle in church.

It tastes almost exactly like that nasty faux cheese used as 'padding' on top of supermarket pizzas!

No wonder they are selling it as two for one! Nasty, nasty, stuff!

    Ewwwwww!!!

Treat yourself to some Montagnolo Affine or Saint Agur - both great summery soft but very tasty cheeses, they'll drown the memory for you!

its similar to cathedral city. Its a generic mass produced cheese. I don't think it tastes that bad

Most cheeses made in sufficient quantity to be sold in supermarkets are inferior. Try to find your local cheesemakers

    Hi everyone,
I work for Wyke Farms and I have to say I am surprised! Most people really love the unique flavour achieved from over 150 years of family farming and cheese production (unlike the other brands mentioned). Mrs W, could it be that your palette would prefer a more mature or vintage flavour? If you would like to try some please email me at jodie@connectedpr.com and I will arrange for you to taste some.

I've got a nice 550g slab of Wyke in my fridge courtesy of Lidl special offers. As I said before it makes nice sandwiches with some nice ham.

I prefer it to Cathedral as it's less crumbly.

Feel free to send me some free samples and keep up selling it to Lidl cheap so they can do the special offers

If you dont like it then contact them and tell them so, the fact its 2 for 1 has no bearing on its taste.

Can use it for other things though like lasagne cheese sauce, grate it for pasta, cheese for the cauliflower for sunday roast, cant remember what the mature tastes like but I bet its not as bad as some cheese I got from morrisons the other day.

Wyke farm cheese rocks my socks. Love it. Sadly, I can't afford to guzzle as much as I would like, so instead rely mostly on Farmfoods monstrous £5 block - its the size of a breezeblock, lasts ages and has yet to kill me, so winner!

550g of Wyke Farms was £2.99 at Lidl last time I went
