Will I Still Get Carers Allowance if Working Partner Moves in?

It looks likely that my partner will move in with me.
Obviously I will need to get my benefits reassessed. I am wondering if I will still be able to get carers allowance as he is working.
He is working full time, but earning a very low wage (minimum wage). I presently get DLA which will be unaffected, tax credits will need to be reassessed (it looks like he will be able to claim a small amount of working tax credits and CTC according to the HMRC tax credits website).
I presently receive middle rate care and lower rate mobility DLA for my son. At present, I have no earnings but my partners earnings, while low, are above the £100 limit for being eligible for Carers allowance. I am not sure if the earnings limit applies to us as a couple or if the fact that I am not working because I need to be a carer will allow me to still claim carers allowance.

Carers allowance is based on your income - my partner works full time on a little more than minimum wage and this has no effect on my carers allowance entitlement. Like you my daughter receives MRC although she gets HRM as she is unable to walk. We also receive a very small amount of HB as the carers allowance I get is offset by a carers premium on the disallowed income bit of HB. Not a huge amount but it does passport us to student finance for our respective OU degrees. (Part time so again doesn't affect CA).
Hope that helps -SW0 -
Many thanks, helps a lot.0
