if you have signed on since, Have you told them you did a days work? paid or unpaid you still need to tell them so that is a problem if you didn't.

As for the unpaid trail, if they asked for bank details you could expect to e paid what ever the rate was they were offering, is sounds a con it me and all work should be paid.
