i was in an accident and was given rental car
hi i was in an accident (bashed from the back not my fault) and was given a rental car (enterprise) by the other sides insurance, i have noticed a small dent about 2cm in diamiter it if very noticeable, looks like someone went past with a screwdriver and dented it on purpose while parked up in liverpool (scoucers for you), my question is when i return the car will i be charged for this or will the insurance company cover the dent (knowing rental companies they will charge the earth). does any one have any idea.

Unless you took the excess waiver cover you'll be paying the enterprise excess for that (assuming they notice it).Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

when i picked up the car they sold me excess cover told me £4 i thought that was cheap, so i agreed when i got home i realised it was £4 per day, when i rang them up to try to cancel they told me i had to come back in with the car so they could check it again, rather than bother i ageed to pay the £4 per day (now 21 days) seems it was worth it, lol !!0

Enterprise will hold back your entire excess, even for a tiny scratch which could be polished out (and in my experience, they won't even repair it). You're lucky your excess is insured, otherwise you'd be well out of pocket, and they'd be quids in.0

just add the £4 a day to the bill for the other insurance company0 -
Why dont you just get it fixed before passing it back? It'll probably only cost a few quid... Websites like autobodycompare.com will give you a good estimate; probably not got the time to wait for the estimates to come though mind

Another view is that your insurance company should treat it as your own car - and cover it accordingly. Obviously any excess you have with them will apply.
That's certainly in my policy - obviously companies may vary.0 -

Because he has paid the excess to cover it.0 -

I doubt that's right for a rental car. A courtesy car, yes.
Usually the rental company's insurance covers the car, your own insurance covers third parties.
