It would be interesting to see if regular burning would weaken the plant. It has very impressive roots but if the greenery is constantly being taken off, it should have an effect. Regular mowing does but burning it is more fun!0

Used about 3 doses of roundup -doing its job but takes over a week to see any signs!
Was just about to buy a weed gun from lidl on offer today for £14.99 but it takes a long gas can which has a screw thread connection at the top, so did not buy it as not sure how easy it would be to get spares in future. http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/index_33864.htm
might stick to the one i seen on amazon which says it can be used with camping gas cylinders.0
