    hi all.

i need a couple of old ipod's to try and make my daughter one working
one before she nags me to death. hope someone can help.

    thanks

I bet you do! Screams dealer rather than caring dad...and is there such thing as an OLD iPod yet? How long have they been around?!

Maybe we ought to start scoring them out of 10? 10 being the worst, 1 being not really very cheeky at all.

I'd give this one about 6...Managed a thanks but sorely lacking in the Please department.

  • hi folks.

further to your messages on here it seems a lot of people are taking the freebie stuff and selling on other outlets. Many people get delivery charges out of it when they deliver it so they make a living out of what you may have made something from.

If it is in good condition, old and especially wooden furniture, tables and chesterfield, ercol they should be sold as these easily make money if so can bring little revenue in to yourselves.

Just Helping and hoping you dont get fleeced by the so called people looking for free but making big money.

Try EBID as an alternative to ebay and offers a free advertising bit. May help

I reckon he forgot to add this bit:

as i have to go out AS I'VE HIRED A VAN TO GO AND COLLECT EVERYTHING THAT I POSSIBLY CAN THAT'S BEEN OFFERED ON FREECYCLE TO CAR BOOT NEXT WEEKEND.......

I've got a buggy to offer but having seen a stall at the car boot this Saturday with loads (and I mean loads) of buggies, prams, etc I am wondering whether or not it would end up there.... so I might wait and see if anyone asks (and check to see what else they've asked for ;) )

    Hi Essexgal,

If you were looking for a way to advertise your stuff maybe EBID is an option, offers free advertising for stuff plus not as popular as ebay and you may get a bargin also.

Its the UK version or ebay so I am told, I have used it and it seems reasonablly good for my purposes.

    Best Wishes

and just received on one of my local groups:

"Is it just me, or are the requests on Freecycle getting beyond the
joke? Freecycle is about preventing land-fill and doing our bit to save
the environment for our future generations. Or am I wrong?
Before anyone jumps down my throat,I am not on old misery guts that
begrudges anyone anything, as regular fellow Freecyclers know, but what
some people are asking for now is getting ridiculous.

I don't care who you are or how many kids you've got - you are missing
the point - and you know who you are. Nobody in their right mind is
going to give away xxxxxxx or yyyyyy and I for one am absolutely
sick to death of people abusing a genuine service provided by genuine
people - and no, I wont damn well deliver!"

Sorry xxxxx and other genuine Freecyclers, I expect abuse now, but I'm
livid and well and truly on my soap-box!!!!!!"

and after my reply - this reply:

"You've probably read the minds of many of the group but none of us
have thought to mention it in the cafe! Well done!!
These silly selfish requests should be deleted to the recycle bin!"
