Odd sox to keep his feet warm - always plenty of them going a begging in my house for some reason, maybe this is why!

keep wondering if anyone would take me up if i offered my 3 carrier bags of odd socks?

No no no, the way to go for old well worn smelly holey (not in the religious sense) sox is to flog em on ebay. You could always donate the proceeds to the charity on freecycle which needed kebabs for their kids.

Have any of you been reading this thread?

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=396729

It makes entertaining reading and definitely food for thought! (PS I got 99p for mine plus P&P. Can't believe I sold them, on way to the post office shortly to post them.

bones61 - sorry to here about your job, hope something turns up soon, and I mean more than a laptop if requested on freecycle. You might manage a whole wireless set up if you ask nicely! Please and thank you works wonders with me.

Good luck with the job hunting when your ready. (((hugs)))

i think it'd take a while to list them all on ebay, they all have such "moving" (sorry bad pun) stories behind them, and i'd want them to go to a loving home.

  • How would that happen then, most messages are posted directly!
It is only a few members who are new or not sure of the posting rules that need help where Mods might see the message first.

It still doesn't mean they get an item as the idea is to wait 24 hours to collect all replies then choose someone to have your gift.

dont agree that mods get first dibs on items at all, and even if they did, they don't get paid for doing it so i don't blame them for trying for all the time they spend at all different hours of the day.

Nothing to do with whether they are paid or not
THEY in 99% of casses DO NOT pick out good offers.
you only have to look at all the messages to see it wouldn't work!
Especially where people thank the person for taking away their 'Junk'

the previous correspondent must supply proof of thhis outrageous statement!
    thanks for letting me comment

"I am new to this as I've just moved to the area so wonder
if anyone canhelp me please.I am looking for, if possable,

    suitable for indoor use
    2) A hedgetrimmer
    3) A freeview box
    4) A food processor (I have a jug blender but it refuses to blend most
    things!)

I have no transport, but can collect using public transport / taxis, or
would of course be exceedingly grateful to anyone who can deliver."

"I've moved and have found there is 2 or 3 things I am in need of and
because I am going to be on a budget for a month or so wouldn't be
able to find them cheap enough or for pennies.

    * A Bread Maker (cheaper than buying when bread is the only thing on
    shopping list)

    * Plastic Storage (boxes or drawers)

    * Letterbox for front door (brass in colour), brass doorknocker

    * A smallish shed (apprx. 4ft x 5ft), I have got stuff in the sehd
still at my old house with nowhere for it to go at my new house.

    * I know this might be a bit of a big want but the front and back
door on my new house could do with replacing, preferably ones with a
window, this is only if you are getting rid of one that is being
replaced and to save something decent going to the tip. Needs to be
    in good condition where possible.

    * Someone with a van who could help me move some boxes and a
recliner from my old house to storage or to my new house (need this
doing in the next 4 days and I am struggling to get it done)"

"i like a long black leather coat size 18 20
a tigger knitting pattern with graph
    a hard drive
an orignal xp windows disc with codes
    laptop
thanks for reading this and thanks if you can help
st6 area no transport but public "
