I relented last night and offered an item on Freecycle - as its electrical, the charity shops wouldn't have taken it, couldn't be bothered selling it for a few quid, seemed a shame to tip it.
Got 6 replies within half an hour - 5 along the lines of 'I'll have it' or 'I'll take it' and 'I'll pick it up tomorrow 6pm - send address'.
One wrote a short pleasant email to say how glad she would be if she got it, and thanks for considering her request.

No prizes guessing who's getting it :D

Am seriously thinking of adding a post script to mine in future....people with no manners need not apply :D:D:D

 no doubt they'll be ''desperately needing'' a plasma tv to go with the dvd player. Hope the Mods take that ignoramus to task.

I'm truly thinking of putting 'the item went to the one person with manners who replied' at the end of my 'taken' post :D

    Offered - baby walker
it needs a bit of a clean not been used for a while
buggy england flag material ideal just for spare folds up
and alba vcr with remote control all need to go asap
I read this a bit quickly and wondered at first why a remote control was needed on a baby walker (could be a good way of hauling the child back?) ..... then I cleaned my specs and saw the bit about the VCR. Duh.....

I had a great tv given me by grandparents, in a wooden casing type thing, worked fine was made in 1978   used if for ages, (and i'm proud to say it still works now in grandparents back room) then got offered one of my dad which i still use when he treated himself to a new one, lol. i love having a smaller tv anyways, less to dust :p:p:p:p

wish baby walkers came with remotes when my kids were little, would have been fantastic, in the end i got rid of the baby walker as they could move faster in it than i could out of it. :o:o

You're not kidding !! I couldn't believe the speed my friends granddaughter could go it, and multi task (drinking her juice) at the age of 10 or 11 months. I think Maggie (the friend) would love to have been able to press 'reverse' on a handset

personally i'd have liked kids with a remote, so you could switch them off too. lol.

i am looking for a large stuffed animal, the larger the better, can send hubby to collect any area, most evenings

can just see hubby driving down the road with a large stuffed grizzly bear or something in the passenger seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bet he avoids any road rage, lol.
