You are right there, I found myself sitting here thinking "I must check to see if there have been any good ones added today!"

Had a quickie browse of my two local groups and all is pretty quiet and normal there today!

Welcome back! Its dead quiet on my groups as well - I def. think the Mods are blocking the daft 'wanted' ads. They've gone and spoiled our fun :rotfl:

  • I picked up a brand new bath from freecycle today - lady was lovely, especially as I'd had to cancel collecting it a couple of times. Can't wait for my step dad to fit it for me next week :j

    Hi Nyla1979,
it's the sort of thread were you just HAVE to stick your nose in from time to time just in case there has been a good 'wanted' posted, must admit though the cheeky ones dont seem so frequent.

any freecycle mods care to throw in any good ones that they have turned down, pretty please.
:hello: I was going to ask this too. LMAO. Don't know the mods on our group well enough but if there was a mod reading this thread, well, that would be another matter and if they happened to have a couple of "spare rejected posts lying around" that might make us laugh...

I know , I tripped over my luxury yacht the other day, serves me right leaving it on the kitchen floor I guess

Blimey, I go on holiday and come back to find messages that the thread's falling apart but then it manages to right itself like your luxury yacht after a gale ;)

Anyway can you offer that 'luxury yacht' to this lovely lady?
wanted radio controlled model boat 2ft or longer for competitions for a
boat fanatic husband .i would be so very gratefull

I take it that it is longer than 2 ft? (Sorry it was the only one that caught my eye out of the hundreds of emails I had to bin when I logged on this afternoon) :D

Well......... I thought thats what you all wanted, for the items to go to the people that need them most.........
With so many people supposingly ebaying and carbooting items, isn't it better to ask questions? OK not an essay, I haven't seen that particular post so I can't comment.

Grill them first I say, start with getting a powerful light ready, then when they arrive at your door sit them down and shine said light in their face. Some questions to start with perhaps.......(please note terrible German accent is desirable)

    "Wot is yer name?"
"Why do u wont dis item?"

    You get the jist!

Oh- I think a panel interview with 3 people firing questions, at the very least. That's assuming they passed the initial shortlisting round, which was an essay 'Why I deserve blah blah' in no less than 1000 words :D
