3 Store and accident, where do i stand...

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this...

I was wondering if anyone could help me or advise on my rights.

I was in my local 3store today discussing a contract that I had taken out yesterday, the advisor told me to sit down and she proceeded with helping me.

She had to go use another pc, while waiting for her a piece of wood fell from the desk that covered wires and landed on my foot. At the time it was like having a small weight dropped on my toes, it hurt then the pain stopped.

Few hours later my toe hurts, it feels like trapping your finger in the door pain. At the time in the store i joked about it and moved on, but its now the pain is hurting.

Where do I stand with my rights on this, I dont want to cause a huge legal scene but was hoping for a sorry and some free headphones :D

cheers all.

You don't stand anywhere if your foot is as bad as you say it is ;)

Doctor, A&E, X rays, proof...etc. Otherwise its all personal opinion...

ok first you need to make sure you have not broke it (your health first)
You should go into the store in question and speak to the assistant that served you, saying the problem you are having now with it.
At long as its there fault and not yours then you can ask for what you wanted but knowing three they will proberly tell you to jog on but no harm asking

I am really not the type do want to "sue" but it was a great bit of weight on it, its not broken but it is bruised.

I think ill send the customer service team an email, see what they say about it.

You should have complained there and then. Complaining hours later looks opportunistic. I doubt you'll get anything now :-(

You should have got it logged in their accident book as proof of what happened.

Again with hindsight I would have.

They have CCTV in the stores, so I can ask them to consult that?

Then why are you here? A bruise will go away in a week, these things happen.

I doubt CCTV will be good enough to show this incident clearly.

Only a small shop and it had CCTV everywhere...

I just wanted to know if legally I had any grounds to stand on, the display partly collapsed on my foot, it hurts.... I just wanted a sorry here is 1 month knocked of your bill soothing like that.

I imagine I could really cause upset if I wanted, which is not what I want.

But the matter stands, my foot does hurt and its no broken, just bruised, that is 3's fault not mine. Why should i suffer?
