Nokia C2-01 can i switch off / disable net

Hi to all on the forum

I have just came back today with a nokia C2-01, my other phone was a nokia 1208, and before that a nokia 8210 .

I only use phone for calls and texts , I am aware that the C2-01 can be used for internet.

Is there any way that i can switch this off or disable the net so i dont accidently open it up ??

According to the manual there are only two options available:

To define how to use the service, select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Packet data > Packet data conn. and from the following:

• When needed — Establish a packet data connection when needed by an application. The connection is closed when the application is closed.
• Always online — Automatically connect to a packet data network when you switch the device on.

My understanding is that it cannot be disabled permanently. If so, you can ask the network to disable it on their side.
