  • I usually wear perfume every day, makes me feel good about myself to have a spritz of something lovely.

    **Migraine alert**
I can't wear perfume at all as even walking past the counters can bring me out in flashy- light headache hell :( I can manage perfectly well with a drop of jasmine or rose essential oil (not MSE at all but a decadent luxury) or lavender/ peppermint if I have a migraine ;).

interesting as jasmine and rose oil gives me a migraine, i find eucalyptus good for migraine but obviously its a bit medicinal, obviously lavender is the classic for helping a migraine

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I've got an image of you walking around sniffing you wrists now lol

That reminds me of something that happens last summer. I'd bought some new deodorant (soft and gentle cool cotton) and put it on in the morning. A friend and I took our kids to the park and there is a leisure centre there that let you use the loos. I went in and used the loo and when I was adjusting my clothing I smelt something really nice and assumed it was air freshener in the loos. Took my friends daughter to the loo and again smelt the same air freshener.

I went out and was talking to my friend about the nice air freshener, she said she hadn't noticed it when she went. We both went inside the leisure centre to use their drinks vending machine and I smelt it again and pointed it out to my friend. It was only then I realised it was actually my deodorant :o I couldn't smell it outside because it was quite windy. My friend took the you know what out of me and my air freshener deodorant for a while after that :rotfl:

I wear perfume every day - only a tiny amount so hardly noticeable to other people (one squirt into the air which I walk through as it settles); I have three that I really like (Stella Nude, Sarah Jessica Parker "Dawn" and Clinque's "Happy") -

I'm synthesthete and they are all colours I like, the Stella one (a recent addition) also smells soft. I can focus on them if I'm stressed so they can take the edge of other things. It isn't for other people at all.

Some perfumes/scents I hate - I can pick up a few certain ones (which will remain nameless) a mile off, if I get on the bus with someone wearing one of them and I pick it up, I normally have to get off at the next stop (which is my problem, not theirs I hasten to add!). I find perfume counters (and Lush) very over powering as it is just too much scent mixed up so if I want to try something new, I tend to spray it on a card, then leave and work it out once I get home. Takes ages, but then it take me ages to use the bottles, so it doesn't matter :) cel x

Always Chanel No. 5, applied every morning without fail and every night just before I get into bed!

Marilyn Monroe was once asked what she wore in bed - she answered, "Chanel No. 5,"...a journalist asked Jilly Cooper's husband what she wore in bed: he replied (gloomily, I imagine), "Dogs, mostly."
I enjoyed the contrast of these two answers very much!

I love perfume and have loads of it. I wear a different one every day, depending on what I feel like. My favourite is Jean Paul Galtier and I've worn it for years, it's become my signature smell :D.

I love wearing perfume and lots of people over the years have complimented on what I smell like. I wear it for me and no one else as I like to get the smell of it and it makes me feel nice. Some people don't wear perfume and that is their choice, like me choosing to wear it most days is.
