Why the everyday perfume?

I like to use a lightly perfumed body oil or cream, then if I do get hot and sweaty it lets its presence be subtly smelt. But if anyone else can smell it then they are invading my personal space too much.0

I've got a 5 year old bottle of "smells like..." stuff (£1.99) and a 10 year old bottle of Poison, with a few drips left in the bottom.
I rarely wear perfume.0 -
I won't leave the house without at least a small spritz of perfume, it is my one weakness, other women like clothes, shoes, makeup etc. but for me it's perfume.
I have a lot of cheap everyday perfumes but also have a few really nice best occasion perfumes.
I do have PCOS and one of my symptoms is excessive sweating so I get very self conscious about smelling badly especially towards the end of a long shift in work. I am probably guilty of smelling strongly of overpowering perfume at times but it is kinder to the people around me than the sweaty alternative and it means I can relax more and feel more confident.
Before I had this as a symptom I would just rely on a really nice body wash and moisturiser/body lotion to keep me smelling sweet throughout the day.0 -
I use Body shop White Musk oil daily and if I ever go out or fancy a change I use Gucci Guilty EDP.To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

I wear perfume every day .. I dont wear it for anyone but me and I dont feel properly dressed without it,its part of the morning routine wake up, shower, hair, dressed, make up, perfume. I have lots of different ones on the go from Smells likes this or that off the internet to expensive ones which were gifts and ones like DKNY be delicious which I have bought myself. I wear perfume even if there is no one else around and im not leaving the house. Its an accessory to me I wouldnt leave the house without earrings in or a handbag I see it the same as that.0

I love perfume, candles, insense etc there is something wonderful about being able to transform the scent of a room or yourself. I wear perfume for myself even if I am at home alone.
To me scents are memories and history and well just fun!0 -
Have any of you ever read the Frump to Fab thread on the Health and Beauty Board.
The title says it all. It's all about how making small changes to our daily routines affects not just our appearance but our whole lives encompassing as it does our homes, our social lives and hobbies, our exercise and fitness, our eating habits and so on.
It's all about taking small steps to achieve our goals - whatever they may be - career, money, making dreams come true.
We use the maxim - Remember the Elephant - One Bite at a Time. Just taking it one step at a time.
Step 1 on the road to Fabdom - wear perfume every day.
Just for you.
Why? Why not? - if it makes you feel good then why not do it. It doesn't have to be anything posh - you can save the "good stuff" for best. For everyday then what can be nicer than a simple cologne or body spray.
"Smell gorgeous and you'll be gorgeous". What's not to like.0 -

I agree overpowering perfume that enters the room before the woman is not at all nice. No-one else would smell my perfume unless they were pretty close.
I trust my deodorant:) (although there's nothing wrong with the clean smell of sweat).0
