    Morning all,

Very hungover as I drank far too much wine. Came back to find DS and his friends eating pizza and watching the olympics and agreed they could all stay:eek: it must have been the wine talking.
Cue me being woken up about 2.30 by four teenagers creeping around trying to be quiet and get themselves into bed. So that was me awake. Needless to say DH slept straight through. No one has surfaced yet of course, will probably see them about lunchtime.
So need to do the usual cleaning and washing this morning and desperately need a food shop but this afternoon and evening will be plonked in front of the olympics chillin. Tea will be the easiest thing I can find.
    Have a good day all J x

    Good morning Hester and all,

Nice day here but its been raining. Not sure i'd trust the weather enough to put any washing out but i dont have a lot so it can wait.

No housework planned for me today just the usual trip to the supermarket later on. Not sure what hubby has planned but i hope it doesnt involve car showrooms.

Welcoming Syman to the thread. Enjoy the football and have a great day.

    Have a super Saturday all!

    welcome to Syman:)

Bitsy - hope you get some rest now you're home x x

I've been busy cleaning Tarquin and loading it up - just got our clothes to go. We're not off till first thing Monday but I'm working tomorrow so want it all done today.

I'm also hoping the rain will hold off so I can finish mowing the lawns. The front is done but the back is huge and takes ages.

    Veggie pizza for tea :)

Have a great weekend all x

Good morning everyone well its sunny here at the moment so I put a line of washing out ,but how long it will last I'm not sure as its supposed to be showery today.Only two more weeks until our holidays and looking in my food purse I have £16.30 in there .At the moment I only need milk, so I will wait until tomorrow for that as I really don't want to be tempted to buy much at the moment. I have enough in my freezer foodwise, and will be doing some baking later.I will make a quiche as I have some eggs, chopped peppers, onions and tomatoes to use and a quarter pack of the chopped/shredded up bacon from Tescos in the freezer.I like making my pastry case with wholemeal flour and grated cheese and a sprinkle of herbs so its got a bit of taste as ordinary pastry can be a bit bland. That will do for several days for lunches/dinner with salad.I need to make a sponge cake as well as my eldest DD came home from Devon last night so she will be popping in over the weekend.
I think I can last out for 14 days without having to draw any more cash from the bank as the more I can stash the more there is on our holidays.I have quite a bit of evaporated milk in the cupboard so I may make a large rice pud to cover a few days of puddings and I know I have a jelly in to cupboard and a bit of left over orange drizzle cake from last week that I can make a trifle with and top with blancmange .
Tonights dinner will be savoury quiche with some mixed veg and potato (I have a couple in the veg box to use up) followed by trifle. So NSD for me today.I am also going to do an inventory of my food cupbord to see whats available.I like to print it up and stick to the inside of the cupboard door so I an see at a glance whats there.
Hasn't the Olympics been great and good luck to TeamGB they are doing their best bless them.
Hope everyone has a good day
    Take care

    Morning all,:j:j

Lovely and sunny here, Very warm too. There are black clouds that keep coming past! Think we might have a shower or too later. I hope not has the Girls have a birthday party to go to this afternoon and its a garden party.

Shopping for us this morning. Just off into the local town. Will go into co-op and Aldi.

The twin are off to a birthday party this afternoon, Iv got a few things to do in the Garden. Our runner beans by the way are coming on well. Also our late squash's are doing well. All Garden fruit has now being eaten. Just waiting for the plums to ripen. They will be a few more weeks off yet. Most of the Kale that iv grown has not been eaten by us and the chickens. They love the stuff.

Not sure what we will be doing for dinner tonight. But lunch will be a sandwich for all of us. the Girls will eat at there party so its just my wife and I that need to sort out for our evening meal.

Well I hope that you all have a good day what ever you are up to.

    Enjoy:j:j

    Morning all!

Today is going to be a mission and I should be getting a move on so I'm off to the kitchen after posting this.

I've got to make, Spag bol, Chicken curry, and Shepard's pie, Brownies, Victoria sponge and a chocolate traybake to use up some stuff in the baking cupboard.

God knows what dinner will end up being I have a feeling It might be curry or chicken and potatoes.

Also hope to make some biscuit doughs for the freezer.

Got a mountain of washing to do, so I best get a move on.

Hope to see you all this evening if I ever make it out of the kitchen:eek:

Hugs to those that need or want them and hope there are good days all round
