Evening all - I've just caught up properly
Today started off badly but turned out good. I made the doggies go into the garden for a wee before I went to bed, but they started barking at something. When I went outside, I found they had a hedgehog cornered. So that was what Bess was after the other nightI got the dogs inside and locked the back door, putting Molly into her crate and getting into bed. Bess kept trying to get outside, scratching madly at the backdoor and yapping, and Molly was unsettled in her crate. I couldn't get her to stop so just had to try to sleep through it - but I didn't succeed
I don't know what time they settled but it seemed to go on for ages, before I was able to sleep. Anyway, that's my [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason for not getting up until 1pm
I did get up about 9am to let the pups out for a wee - no hedgehog in sight - and let Molly onto the bed when I got back in. She settled, after a few tellings off for licking my face, and just cuddled up to me
Arh :j
I had an appointment at the Job Centre about my ESA at 2.30pm but when I got there and explained about Alan passing away, he said I should have cancelled, so he deferred my appointment for a month. He also rang up about my money which hadn't gone into my bank yesterday, and told me that a payment of £400+ was going into my account today ?????? I don't know what that is, unless it is my Bereavement Benefit, but they told him it was money I was owed ???? Guess I will have to see if a letter arrives tomorrow and check my bank account online in the morning
Anyway, after leaving there, I had a good wander around the town centre, going into all the charity shops, and 99p Store where I got 6 lovely mugs with black and white pics of pups on them, and then to a local furniture shop to look at their bedroom furniture before calling in to the auction to have a look around and have a chat ...... and a hug
The porter guys there are so good
Feeling good by time I got home and caught up on here a little before taking the dogs out for a lovely walk in the sun. After more catching up, I realised I hadn't had anything to eat since getting up so grilled a nice pork loin steak and had that with a lovely big salad - yummy :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Evening all
Had a busy evening, visiting various Sainsbobs to use up the last of my Bavaria coupons....felt like saying goodbye to a dear friend
Went to T's and used up the lenor coupons.
Whoopsies were not fantastic, but I collared the young lad who was doing the marking down and cheekily said I wanted to go home, so would he mind reducing some meat for me and another lady (who was too chicken to ask him!!)
So I got some lovely fillet steak reduced from around £12 down to £2 and an organic leg of lamb joint from £14 down to £3 :j
Found 3 packs of the pork loin which I paid for seperately with some cheap items and dog food. First time I've seen it in that store, so hope it's still comparing.
Got some lovely flowers 90% off and a few bits and bobs of fruit and veg. Watermelons 30p and cauli's 10p
Called off in A's on the way home to pick up some milk and wombled 4 receipts....got back £6 :j
Also got over £5 on APG's yesterday and that was from 3 receipts
These are from my local A's. Just a small store, but no Tesco's within miles, so I wonder if that's why I'm getting decent APG's....or maybe it's just beginners luck.
At first I was really hesitant about doing it, but I'm getting braver. One of the receipts was actually poking out from under the big mat at the entrance to the store. That one gave me over £3
Anyway, hope everyone is OK and will have to try to catch up in the morning as I'm going to head off to bed.
Night all xxMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Hahaha I used to be popular with the tramps when I had to mystery shop burger places in the high street, as there's no way I'd eat that muck so I used to give it to the nearest tramp, same with coffees from coffee houses
apart from once I gave a tramp a large £2.20 coffee on a freezing Dec day and he moaned at me because I didn't put sugar in it :rotfl:
