Just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for all your lovely birthday wishes. I hope you had a lovely birthday Nikkilala.

I logged on last night and started to thank your posts and promptly fell asleep. I woke up at 2am on the settee in exactly the same position i fell asleep in with fingers still on the lap top keys.

I worked on my birthday so i could get my DD's 2nd birthday off tomorrow. I was very tired when i got home from work but as soon as i opened the front door i was greeted with "happy birthday mommy" from my DD and that made my day :D

I know now that i have truly joined the "mothers club", when your own birthday no longer matters as long as your little one is ok. She opened my presents so fast that i could hardly keep up. I will have to have my pen and paper at the ready in the morning so i can keep up with who has bought her what ready for the thank you cards.
I don't have time to catch up so wanted to say happy birthday to any fellow leos and send hugs out to anyone who may need one :)

    Good job looks lovely:j:j:j

What you need to finish it is a brand new 12 person four ring gas powered BBQ worth £449 (Wickes) OH won it in a prize and it weighs about 40KG boxed, looks like it has wheels etc when assembled :o - Told her to eBay it but it would have to be collection due to weight so may not get best price for it, what sort of figure should we ask? Any ideas or other ways of selling? - It's way too big for us/our garden before anyone suggests actually using it :rotfl:

You could arrange a courier to pick it up and transport it to a buyer - check the usual websites for quotes before advertising it for sale. Where in the UK are you based?

Afternoon guys :j I am smiling today - today is a good day so far :D

I took Molly to the vets and he took her stitches out and, despite me being worried about her charging around all week and there being a knotted lump under the outer stitches, he said she is fine and that will settle :j :j :j :j :j

Postman finally brought my letter from Mr 3Dogs' pension which confirms that I will receive the money due as a lump sum for the two policies :j :j which means I can now look for my new car :j :j :j :j :j I've got to admit I was worried in case I had to take the fund as an annuity/pension, which would have been ok, but would not enabled me to get a new car and I really feel that, if I could afford it, a new car was what I needed, for peace of mind more than anything. A reliable car that I could maintain cheaply is what I need, so very happy with that :j :j :j :j

The other thing is that Alan thought he was going to get this money paid to him under special rules for terminal illness and it put his mind at rest that I could get a new car and would have a little money in the bank behind me, after he was gone. Something we have never really had during our time together. However, due to the doctor taking his time signing the medical form and Alan going so quickly in the end, that was not to be and I had to apply for death benefits from his pension instead. He will be pleased that I will be getting the lump sum :D:D

    So lots of :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j from me today, and a nod to Alan up there watching ;)

Fantastic pic of the moon Nahteb :T :T

Fantastic day for you FK and love those [STRIKE]legs[/STRIKE] new shoes

Back to my old routine now - taking my disabled neighbour shopping in her car :D

I've caught up till the Jigsaw Queen Westie said good morning so will be back later to do the rest
