I'm moving on Monday and as yet have not had my new phone no. confirmed by BT. I'm told my phone service will be connected sometime on Monday, so it's possible I won't know my new no. 'till I move in.
My internet provider here at my current address is aol and they tell me they are not able to get me up and running at my new address until I can provide them with a 'live' telephone no. I asked about cancelling the broadband at this address and they tell me that the service will cease automatically once the line is disconnected. I just want to check this is true as would hate for the new owners to have a problem getting their internet connected because of an existing broadband supplier. I assume they will be generated a different phone no. to the one I have now.
What will happen once I move and know my new phone no. is I will contact aol to see if they are going to continue me on the same deal I currently have, which is unlimited for just over £12 month. If not I'll be shopping around for a new provider.
The thing I'm not sure about is should I be asking them for a MAC code before I move to the new house? They tell me no, but I don't want to be causing myself any delays in getting connected to the internet at my new property and want to be sure they are giving me the correct information.

The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
