As others have posted -one of our local chemists stock a range of vet products at a discount to buy off the shelf. It's just one local pharmacy which has shelves of the stuff

I also use Vetmedic.com and you don't need a prescription.

Can I just say though, that after using Frontline on both my cats and my dog regularly for a couple of years, I then started to leave longer between treatments. Now it is over two years that I have treated pets and they still do not have fleas! Obviously every 3 months is not necessary.

Where do you get every 3 months from??? I thought it was supposed to be applied every 4 weeks!

www.thevetshed.com are very good for prescription medicines like Advantage 80 - 1yr supply for £47 ish delivered. (In Australia so don't need prescriptions)
Been using them for 5yrs with no problems.

GARLIC is a natural way to keep fleas at bay. My dogs love garlic bread but you can also sprinkle the power form on their food.

    Jan Grocery challenge
    Budget £350 - Spent £64.45 to date
  • Resurrecting this old thread - I've just had an email advising there's a price increase due next week, so now is a good time to buy.

mrpets.co.uk are cheapest today, but if you're buying Drontal at the same time as I am, vetuk.co.uk work out cheapest

Hi , I use http://www.vet-medic.com/ for just about all pet medication. Frontline is available without prescription and is a lot cheaper. Likewise the Drontals. The more you order the cheaper it gets. We order for all our neighbours (I hasten to add at no profit to us !) and it is a lot cheaper then the vets. If by any chance you know someone going on a booze cruise to France get them to pop into a pet shop or vet while over there as costs are even cheaper in France. Hope that helps. Regards. Andy

I am afriad that the use of any vet medicine from outside of the UK is illegal. If you are caught by customs with anything like this you will at the least have it confiscated. The laws on British veterinary drugs can be read at www.vmd.gov.uk

Every product legally allowed in this country has had to meet strict licencing laws over its safety not only on the animal it is being used on but also the owner and the environment.

Saving money by buying from UK online pharmicies is fine but this advise about buying from abroad is illegal.
