Any Recent PPI Success with Tesco?

Has anyone had any recent success with PPI from Tesco? I've been waiting almost 8 weeks from my complaint acknowledgement letter, phoned them up today to see if there was an update on my complaint and was told that they are waiting for 'internal information'. Just wondering if anyone has had success with Tesco (within the 8 weeks) or is this going to go on forever?

In 2007 I applied to Tesco for a ppi refund of £2,700.Although they sent all statements from 1998,surprise,surprise they couldn't find the agreement that I didn't sign.Fos caseworker found for Tesco and told me to take them to court.2 years later,I shredded everything.However last year I decided to have another go at Tesco and have now got a letter from them stating they did mis sell me ppi.Last sept they offered me £909 from 2003/2005 and 1 payment a year later in 2006.I queried the other 11months,so far I phone every month to be told they are waiting for more info.Yesterday they said they don't go back more than 6 years but in 2007 they went back 9 years.I am now going back to fos because1)they lied about misselling ppi 2)the caseworker didn't tell me I had the right to appeal to someone higher up.Good luck with your claim.I will keep fighting for mine,I am not accepting a third of what I was due in 20070

My loan was 2001 - 2003 (paid off early in full), front loaded ppi of £1900. They sent me my agreement upon request and i do have bank statements to prove i paid ppi. It has been almost 8 weeks since they acknowledged receipt of my complaint and i have still received nothing, only the phonecall i made to them a few days ago for them to tell me they're waiting on internal information. From what you say it doesn't sound good for a loan as old as mine to be upheld, if they don't keep information (although they did provide me with my original agreement). I suppose I'll just have to sit tight and see what they say, if they ever do get in touch!0

Phoned Tesco today to find out if there was any update on my ppi complaint. After being on hold for 29 minutes I spoke to a gentleman. 'Sorry, waiting on 'further information, if I could just put you on hold, i'll find out timescales for you'. He came on the line and said again, 'yes, waiting on further information and should only be a short while longer'. I asked 'what is this further information you are waiting for, as it is 8 weeks since you acknowledged my complaint', only to be told 'you're original credit agreement'. I said 'that's funny, I sent that back with my complaint'. He said 'oh yes, I see that, shouldn't be too much longer and we'll reach a decision'. In other words, just fob me off with any old cr*p! I won't hold my breath for receiving a decision any time soon then, if that's all they can come up with.0
