O/S Daily Friday 3rd August. Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 3rd August. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all,
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday to Elacla, have a great day xx
Raining here, hope it dries up later on, off to work for me, but finish early today so not too bad.
Going to shove a wash on now, and dd will hang it on the airer, she has a well deserved day off today, having worked the last 6 days, I will leave a few jobs for her to do.
Omelette for dinner tonight, with salad and chips, will ask dd to do a few chips.
Will go and see dad tonight and leave OH in charge of dinner.
Going to look at some oak tomorrow for the lounge floor, I hope its good quality, I desperately want to rip up the mushroom coloured carpet that was in the lounge when we moved in.
Ok better get on, have good days all xx

Good morning redruby and to all who cross/follow,
Bright and sunny here today. Washing is out and another load in wm. I have a few loads i need to get washed today. My line is gradually breaking so i can only hang the washing on certain parts, it's a rotary one.
We dug up three cabbages yesterday. Gave one away, well cut it in half and gave it to two neighbours. The other two i cut up and put in the freezer. They are in bags enough for all four of us for a dinner. I did 18 bags. I did french beans the same way and got 15 bags. We also took up the rest of our onions to dry, 69 white ones and 29 red ones and also 15 garlic. The allotment is looking a bit bare in places now.
Tea tonight is scampi, chips and salad.
redruby, i hope you manage to find some flooring.
Happy birthday to Elacla :bdaycake: hope you have a good day.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning all. Not a lot happening here. Mood still isn't the best. Had a slightly better day yesterday. Got antib's for chest infection which have upset my tummy. I'm getting cramps from them which is setting my anxiety off
keep thinking they are contractions and its too early for that. Seem to go round in circles.
Anyway enough woe is me. Hope this sun lasts and you all get a bit. Have gd day all"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -

Morning all:j:j
Sunny and warm here,
Well everyone has had there breakfast, My wife has a doctors appointment this morning so she will be off out soon. She then has work this afternoon.
The twins are being taken out by my mum this afternoon to spend some of there birthday money. As my mum has had them everyday this week they were going to spend a few hours here with me this afternoon. But they don't wont to, they have been asking my mum all week about going shopping, They love shopping if it for them. So my mum said that she will take them to the local shopping center this afternoon for a couple of hour and then take them out for dinner. They also love going and having pub meals. So that's them sorted for the day. Lunch today will be salad for all four of us.
My wife and I will have our dinner tonight after the girls have gone to bed. I'm thinking pasta bog as its been a couple of weeks since we last had it. We normally have it once a week but as its been nice weather iv been cooking meat on the gas BBQ and just doing service something with it.
I will spend this afternoon cleaning out the chickens. The Young hen that layed there first egg this week and layed one every day since her first one, My wife had scrambled egg on toast yesterday morning and use the two eggs of the young hen. And when she cracked them they were both double yokes !:T:T They were the smallest yokes you have ever seen, Very tiny but two of them in both eggs. We have not cracked yesterdays egg yet to see if that,s the same.
Well that's about it at the moment,
Have a great day everyone:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
