New Lloyds Vantage current account

Not so sure about the error message on upgraded accounts, as I asked last week for 3 accounts and our joint account to be upgraded, when I was told a maximum of 3 accounts including any joint accounts I asked to remove upgrade from our joint account and just keep 3 other accounts.
However when I checked for the error message all accounts including our joint account now give this error.
Perhaps because the joint account was upgraded then returned to 3% it has somehow caused the error to show up.
Why on earth Lloyds have to make things so complicated, it would surely not be difficult to show the interest rate upgrade when you log into your accounts.0 -

Did it log you off automatically then?
No, I was logged on whilst i made the call. After the call I logged off and then back on again and bingo error messages on my last 2 accountsWhich phone number did you use for this please? What did you say?
It was the 0800 number posted on this thread, just search this thread for 0800 and it's in the first result.
I just said I'd like to upgrade 2 of my accounts to the 4% rate and the DD's were in progress. She told me I could upgrade 3 of my 5, but I said just 2 would be fine. She mustn't have seen my other 3 were already upgraded

Further to my post above I have just rung the 0800 number to ask for our joint account to be upgraded and was told yes it is upgraded, although, as mentioned above, as only 3 allowed I asked for the joint account not be upgraded.
So this does perhaps confirm the error message is correct.0 -

How can you possibly say that without knowing how the LBG system works? Surely the OLB part will be a completely separate system to the main system for security reasons, so it might not even have access to that kind of information, which means updating of at least 2 different systems.
Errr, sorry I don't know what systems you are talking about, thought it seemed straight forward to me, I thought that all banks were supposed to show interest rates, on statements at least anyway, but then what do I know..
Anyway it was only a passing thought, not really the reason for my post.0 -
You could equally ask why on Earth LB make it all so compicated requiring 3, 4, or 5 accounts (I thought you were only allowed 3) , why not just have a single 4% current account for balances over 5K with an upper limit of 18K and a require 1K per month and 2 x DD?
That would be so much more simple for everyone concerned.0 -

They wouldn't want people depositing 18k in a single account. It has been designed as a current account with frills. It's just that so many if us have exploited their inability to limit the product!0 -
But they do limit it to 3, so they could equally say only 1 account up to 18K @ 4% it would be so much simpler for them and us.
So before did they limit it to 5 accounts or was there no limit? Who here has the most vantage accounts?0 -
There really is no need for anyone here not to know whether an account has been registered to 4%.
The internal codes used by Lloyds to classify the account as 4% rather than 3% have been posted in this thread 3 times. All it takes is one call or one visit to branch, one question.
It shouldn't be necessary to do this, but this is the way Lloyds have chosen to do it, not customer friendly but they make the rules. Maybe shortly this information will be available online?
I'm not going to wade through 650 posts, I just went through 60 posts to see this post from you...
What do you mean "internal codes' can we see somehow online which accounts are upgraded without using the 'press the upgrade button' trick?0
