The annoying thing for those of us wanting to use the accounts as savings accounts is this criteria...I have 3 Vantage accounts but don't want the hassle of setting up 6 DDs.

Shame really since MBNA want to give me a £19K money transfer at 0% for a year for a 2% fee, so this deal would have made me a decent £200 profit on that!

Ditto, I've also got the MBNA offer showing and have £22K sat waiting for a good home.
I knew that one day holding onto those 7 Vantage accounts would pay dividends and fortunately two already have DD's on paying other credit card accounts.
Now to figure out a way of getting the other 4 uprated if possible.

The CSA also confirmed to me the new 4% rate would be payable until 31/10/12 even if the 2 DD's were not showing.

Wow, didn't know the CSA are involved, lol!
Seriously - thanks, that's great info. Going to top up my accounts now to £6K each.

And why can'y you guys use your Vantage accounts (3 at least) for the MBNA money?

Maybe a £1 monthly donation to several charities is in order. Basic rate taxpayer will still be up almost £50 over the year.

I've decided it is worth the 'hassle', and so tonight will be resurrecting some old Tesco savings DDs on all 3 accounts. I have 2 savings accounts (Internet Saver and Instant Access Savings)...am I right in saying I can set up one from each to all 3 of my Vantage accounts? Seem to remember someone posted it was possible yesterday?

£200 will pay for an extra winter break in 2013/14...that's my motivation for doing it anyway. :)

I only have one Tesco Savings acct (opened yesterday), and I could set up a DD from it for each of my 3 Vantage accounts.

I would think it would be poss to do the same from another Tesco savings acct.

    Good luck!

Is it possible to find out via Online banking if the change has been applied? The CSA told me "Thats been done for you", but I don't trust them. My online banking still says "Classic Vantage". I'd expect it to say "Vantage4" or something.

Still, 1000*0.03*0.80/12 = £2, I guess I could risk it. Be perfect for a complaint letter, too.

Apparently there's no way you can tell from looking at your online banking!!! But they said they'd send me a letter (or letters) confirming I am on 4%, subject to the DDs blah blah

She also said something about "the system" getting updated within 24 hours.

No online change on the accounts I've amended, but the CSA did say it wouldn't update until the overnight run so in my case that'll be about 0130. Letters would also be dispatched within a few days.

Anyone have any luck in changing an account they have Power of Attorney over? Told I have to go into branch - is there really no way of doing it over the phone?

At Tesco's, you can set up DDs on multiple linked current accounts from multiple Tesco savings accounts.

When setting up a DD on a current account, you have to tick all the Tesco savings accounts from which you want to "pull". I presume, this will create one DD per Tesco savings/current account combination (each with a different reference).
